Arriving in the Future... Case No. 154
將至(장지)는 장차 오는 것이다.
'Jangji(將至,장지)' means that whicch is about to come in the future.
哲人(철인)의 큰 道(도)는 만세 사람들의 법도가 된다.
The great Way(道,도) of a wise sage serves as the moral law for people of all generations.
그러나 물자가 풍성해지면 법도가 약해져서 고치기 어려워 고질병처럼 완치가 안되니
진정한 행복과 이익이 떠나게 되는 것이다.
However, when material wealth becomes overly abundant, moral laws weaken,
making them difficult to reform. Like a chronic disease, it becomes incurable,
causing true happiness and benefit to slip away.

將至者는 將來也라(장지자는 장래야라)
'Jangji(將至,장지 - about to arrive)' means 'Jangrae(將來,장래 - the future).'
哲人大道가 爲萬世人規 (철인대도가 위만세인규 )
The great Way of a wise sage sservess as the standard and law for people of all generations.
然物盛則規衰하여 趁痼未完 袪爲福利라. ( 연물성즉규쇠하여 진고미완 거위복리라.)
Yet, when material things overflow, moral laws decline;
if this chronic disease is not completely ccured,
it must be driven out to restore well-being and prosperity.
[Explanation, 풀이]
가난한 집안이 재물 문제로 가족끼리 싸우는 경우는 드물다.
It is rare for a poor family to fight aamong themselvess over wealth.
오히려 부자집에서 가족끼리 재물 문제로 법정 소송을 하는 경우가 많다.
On the contrary, there are many instances where wealthy familiess engage
in legal battless over property.
심지어는 자식이 재물 문제로 부모를 죽이는 사건들이신문지상을 종종 더럽히는 시대가 되었다.
We have even reached an era where horrific incidents of children murdering
their parentss over money frequently stain the pages of newsppapers.
물질의 풍요와 정신의 풍요는 정확히 반비례함을 말해 주고 있는 것이다.
This highlights the fact that material abundance and spiritual abundance
are in exact inverse proportion to each other.
이 말은 이 시대만큼 물자가 풍부한 시대가 없었으므로
이 시대만큼 도덕이 땅에 떨어진 시대도 없다는 것을 단적으로 말해 주는 것이다.
These words provide a stark critique of our modern ear;
just ass there has never been a time of greater material wealth than today,
there has also never been a time when morality has fallen so low.
자식이 부모를 살해하는 시대란 우리 배달민족의 정신으로 볼 때 살아 있는 하나님을 죽이는 시대이다.
From the sspiritual perspective of our Baedal nation,
an era where children murder their living God.
그야말로 魔性(마성)의 시대요 混沌(혼돈)의 시대가 아닐 수 없는 것이다.
It cannot be described as anything less than an era of demonic
nature(魔性,마성) and chaos(混沌,혼돈).
