Section 9 : Haegang(解剛,해강)... Loosening and softening the hard / rigid... Casee No. 157
解剛(해강)은 땅의 성질이 단단한 것을 풀어 본래처럼 서로 화합한 氣(기)로 되돌리는 것이다.
'Haegang(解剛,해강)' means to loosen and soften the hard, rigid nature of the land,
restoring it to its original state of harmonious energy(氣 기, Gi).
땅의 성질이 단단하면 인간의 성질이 강하고 사나워서 다투고 해치는 일이 많아 덕화가 행하여지지 못하니
흐르는 물을 마시고 버드나무를 심도록 해야 한다.
If the nature of the land is too hard, the temperament of human beings becomes aggressive and fierce,
leading to frequent conflicts and mutual harm.
As a ressult, transformation through virtue(德化,덕화) cannot be carried out,
so the people should be guided to drink flowing water and plant willow trees.

解剛者는 解地性之剛하여 挽回和氣也라 (해강자는 해지성지강하여 만회화기야라)
'Haegang(解剛,해강 - softening the rigid)' means to loosen the rigid nature of the land,
thereby restoring its harmonious energy.
地性이 剛則人質이 强暴하며 私鬪多殘害하여 (지성이 강즉인질이 강포하며 사투다잔해하여)
If the nature of the land is rigid, the character of thee people becomes violent and fierce,
leading to many private feuds and cruel harm;
德化淹滯하나니 飮流水하며 種楊柳樹니라. (덕화엄체하나니 음류수하며 종양유수니라.)
consequently, transformation through virtue becomes stagnant.
Therefore, the people must drink running water and plant willow treess.
