Guangzhou Tzu Chi volunteers provide financial aids to help a single mother remove her tumors.
Tzu Chi gives scholarship to a student in Hualien Tzu Chi High school to help him further his education.

Welcome to Da Ai Headlines. I'm Maggie Tsai. Thank you for joining us. Tzu Chi volunteers continued to distribute rice and blankets in Sierra Leone. Today, they held distributions at six different locations which included an Ebola virus survivor community and a women's shelter. Tzu Chi is hoping to make these communities self-reliant and more optimistic.

In Guangzhou, China, a Tzu Chi care recipient Li Qishuang is widowed and needs to raise her two children alone. She was then diagnosed with colon and liver cancers simultaneously. Tzu Chi provided her with subsidy to remove the tumors. She recovered after chemotherapy. Since then, she has reciprocated the love.
3. 甘肅發放場勘
A Gansu winter distribution is expected to be carried out at the end of December. There are more than 3,000 individuals to receive this compassion. Tzu Chi volunteers have sought out distribution sites to efficiently carry out the work as well as seek out the best items to give them this winter.
4. 河北易縣助學
Tzu Chi continues to hold scholarship distributions at YiXian Middle School and vocational school in Hebei, China. There are 254 high school scholarship recipients this year. Volunteers encourage them to write letters every month, accompanying them through their studies with emotional support, giving them love and care.
5. 玉里新芽頒獎
The Tzu Chi Foundation has provided New Shoots scholarships for children from disadvantaged families for many years. This year, one recipient Li Zhilong graduated from Hualien High School and was successful admitted into the college of his own choosing.
6. 馬助學金
In Malaysia, Tzu Chi held scholarship award ceremonies in Ulu Tiram and Muar (Moo-er), encouraging the students from impoverished families to study harder.

Dharma Master Cheng Yen visited the Xiandian Jing Si Hall on November 18. Tzu Chi volunteers share their relief work during Typhoon Morakot 10 years ago, as well as the international relief work in late October, when a strong earthquake occurred in Mindanao in the Philippines.
8. 桃歲末新委
After joining volunteer training for three times, Liu Xingcheng finally passed his tests and becoming a certified Tzu Chi volunteer this year. His wife always wanted her husband to join Tzu Chi. However, Liu failed in his first two trainings since he couldn't quit alcohol and smoking. Later on, his wife was diagnosed with cancer. The bad news has motivated him to seize the opportunity to volunteer and to fulfill his wife's wish.

In addition to doctors and nurses, there are other individuals who play key roles in a. hospital. Today we meet a warm-hearted radiologist Zhang Shengchang who has achieved 30-years of service. Also, we meet, nutritionist Hou Yizheng who has committed herself to research to improve the lives of patients.
