8 밤중에 그가 놀라 몸을 돌이켜 본즉 한 여인이 자기 발치에 누워 있는지라
8 And it happened in the middle of the night that the man was startled and bent forward;
and behold, a woman was lying at his feet.
9 이르되 네가 누구냐 하니 대답하되
나는 당신의 여종 룻이오니 당신의 옷자락을 펴 당신의 여종을 덮으소서
이는 당신이 기업을 무를 자가 됨이니이다 하니
9 So he said, “Who are you?” And she answered,
“I am Ruth your slave. Now spread your garment over your slave, for you are a redeemer.”
10 그가 이르되 내 딸아 여호와께서 네게 복 주시기를 원하노라
네가 가난하건 부하건 젊은 자를 따르지 아니하였으니 네가 베푼 인애가 처음보다 나중이 더하도다
10 Then he said, “May you be blessed of the Lord, my daughter.
You have shown your last kindness to be better than the first,
by not going after young men, whether poor or rich.

15 So, for my part, I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome.
16 내가 복음을 부끄러워하지 아니하노니 이 복음은 모든 믿는 자에게 구원을 주시는 하나님의 능력이 됨이라
먼저는 유대인에게요 그리고 헬라인에게로다
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes,
to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
17 복음에는 하나님의 의가 나타나서 믿음으로 믿음에 이르게 하나니
기록된 바 오직 의인은 믿음으로 말미암아 살리라 함과 같으니라
17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith;
as it is written: “But the righteous one will live by faith.”
( 히브리서 11장 6절 )
6 믿음이 없이는 하나님을 기쁘시게 하지 못하나니
하나님께 나아가는 자는 반드시 그가 계신 것과
또한 그가 자기를 찾는 자들에게 상 주시는 이심을 믿어야 할지니라
6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him,
for the one who comes to God must believe that He exists,
and that He proves to be One who rewards those who seek Him.
