🌹인생[人生]이라는 길(the path of life)🌹

우리는 흔히 인생[人生, lifetime]을 길 에다 한번 들어서면 가지 않을 수 없는 길 같은 것이라고 말입니다.(It's often like we're on a road where we can't help but go once we're on the road.)

가다 보면 예기치 않았던 장애물[障碍物, obstruction]을 만날 수도 있고 순풍[順風, a fair wind]에 돛을 단 듯 순조[順調, smoothness]로운 길도 있습니다.(As you go, you'll encounter unexpected obstacles, and there's also a gentle path as if you're anchoring a gentle breeze.)

그러나 한 가지 조심[操心, careful[careful] mind]해야 할 것은 이 '인생[人生, life]'이라는 길에는 동반자[同伴者, partner]가 없다는 사실입니다.( But one thing to be careful about is that there is no companion in this path of life.)

또한 아무도 가본 적이 없는 길이므로 '이정표[里程標, landmark]'가 없다는 것입니다. (It's also a road that no one has ever been to, so there's no milestone.)

오로지 자기 혼자서 그리고 자신의 힘만 으로 걸어가야 하는 것이 우리의 인생[人生, life]길인 것입니다.(It is our way of life that we have to walk on our own and on our own.)

하지만 행여 두렵다고 떨지는 마십시오. 내딛는 발걸음만 힘 차다면 그 길엔 새 소리와 온갖 아름다운 꽃들이 반겨 줄테니까 말입니다.(But don't be afraid to be afraid. If you take a step forward, the sound of birds and all kinds of beautiful flowers will welcome you.)

앞서 이야기했듯이 인생[人生]이라는 길은 순풍[順風, following wind]에 돛 단 듯이 순조[順調, a smooth sailing] 로운 길만은 아닙니다.(As I mentioned earlier, the path of life is not as smooth as sailing in the wind.)

중간에 방향[方向, direction]을 잃어 헤매기도 하는데 그 속에서 좌절[挫折, setback]과 실패[失敗, failure]를 경험[經驗, go through]하면서, 한숨과 실의[失意, dejection]에 빠지기도 합니 다.(I sometimes lose direction in the middle, and I experience frustration and failure in it, You can also sigh and be disappointed.)

그러나 인생[人生]이라는 길은 어찌 됐 든 우리의 목숨이 붙어 있는 한 가야만 하는 길입니다. (However, the path of life is a path that must be taken as long as our lives are attached to it.)

중도[中途, the middle[middle] of the middle[middle]에 포기[抛棄, abandon]하는 일은 있을 수도 없고, 또한 그런 일이 있어서도 안 됩니다.(You can't give up halfway, and you shouldn't. Nor should that happen.)

험준[險峻, a steep grade]한 고개가 있으면 힘들이지 않고 내려갈 수 있는 내리막 길도 있는 법입니다.(If there is a steep hill, there is a downhill road where you can go down without difficulty.)

힘들다고 해서 주저앉아 있으면 길은 점점 더 어려워질 수밖에 없습니다.(If you sit down just because it's hard, the road will become more and more difficult.)

그러므로 우리가 숨을 쉬고 있는 동안에 는 어떠한 어려움이 있더라도 그것을 감내[堪耐, bear]하며 묵묵히 걸어가야 합니다.(So while we're breathing, we have to walk silently, enduring any difficulties)

그러다 보면 어느 순간[瞬間, instant] 그런 어려움들도 다 인생[人生]의 한 부분 이었구나 하는 생각을 할 수 있을 겁니다. (And then at some point you'll think that all those difficulties were part of life.)
