생략삼단논법의 3종류
1차 생략 삼단논법-대전제가 진술되지 않음
부모가 한국인인 사람은 모두 한국인이다.
강철수의 부모는 한국인이다.
그러므로 강철수는 한국인이다.
2차 생략 삼단논법- 소전제가 압축됨
모든 학생은 새 학칙에 반대한다.
모든 철학과 학생은 학생이다.
그러므로 모든 철학과 학생도 그 학칙에 반대한다.
3차 생략삼단논법- 결론이 표현되지 않음
No true Christian is vain.
some churchgoers are vain.
therefore some churchgoers are not true Christians.
생략삼단논법의 타당성을 검증하는 두 단계
1. 논증에서 빠진 부분을 보충
2. 보충한 삼단논법을 검증

검증 순서
a. formulate the plausible premise or conclusion, if any, that is missing but understood.
b. Write the argument in standard form, including the missing premise or conclusion needed to make the completed argument valid-if possible-and using parameters if necessary.
c. Name the order of the enthymeme.
