
Emma Resmini
Emma Resmini is a student of Judith Lapple, Professor of Flute at George Mason University (GMU). Emma began her flute studies at the age of three using the Suzuki Method and in 2006 had the honor of playing for Toshio Takahashi, founder of the Suzuki Flute Method. In December 2007, Emma made her solo debut with orchestra at the age of seven, performing the Carmen Fantasy by Francois Borne with the GMU Symphony Orchestra to a full house at the Center for the Arts Concert Hall. She has performed in master classes for international soloists Carol Wincenc, Gary Schocker, Robert Dick, and Jonathan Snowden. She has performed at venues including the Mason Festival of the Arts, the Lyceum, Shenandoah University, Catholic University, the Patricia M. Sitar Center, the Old Presbyterian Meeting House, the Rusticway Chamber Music Series, the Women’s Club of Arlington, the Mormon Temple Visitor Center, the Fredericksburg Festival of the Arts, and numerous charitable events. The Powell Flute Company recently named Emma a “Young Artist” for its Sonare line of flutes. Emma was selected by audition to perform a “Young Soloist” recital at the 2008/09 Concerts at the Alden. Emma’s playing has won awards at the 2008 American Fine Arts Festival, the 2007 Potomac Music Academy Summer Woodwind Camp, and the 2007 NVMTA Sonata Competition. She is also a member of the elite wind symphony “Flutopia.”

작성자GoodMusic 작성자 본인 여부 작성자 작성시간 08.05.30 계산해 보니 여덟살, 그러니까 우리 나이로는 아홉이겠네요. 플루트를 제대로 들기도 만만치 않은 나이인데... 그런데 플루트를 세살 때 시작했다니 더 놀라운 일이네요. 하나님이 주신 능력의 크기가 얼마나 될까를 다시 생각하게 되네요.

작성자장타령 작성시간 08.06.04 천재적이라는 말 밖에는 할 말이 없군요. 모든 것이 가능해 보이고 부족한 것은 단지 호흡 밖에 없네요. 천재는 하나님이 미리 주어 주시는 것인가, 저와는 아득하게 먼 거리에 있어 오히려 편하게 바라볼 수 있었습니다. ^^
