(해설) 옛날 탐이라는 말썽꾸러기가 살고있었어요
Once upon a time there was a trouble-maker whose name was Tom
그는 지저분하고 그리고 못된어린이였어요
He was a dirty and bad boy.
그는 늘 친구들을 괴롭히는 어린이였어요
He used to troubles for his friends.
어느날 또또가 교회 앞에 나타났어요.
One day Tom was in front of a church.
그는 어떻게 그들을 괴롭힐까 생각하고있었어요
He was thinking how to give them a big trouble.
Tom(톰) : 흥! 그 놈들이 교회 간 게 들림없어.
Hum! They must be in the church.
놈들을 혼내주어야지
I will give them a big trouble.
나는 저 교회를 이 마을에서 쫒아낼 거야
I will force the church out of this village!
저, 어떻게 할까? 오!
Yeah . What shall I do? Oh yea!
좋은 수가 있다.
There is a good idea.
교회가는 길에 구덩이를 팔 거야
I'll make a trap on the way to the church.
그럼 그 놈들이 구덩이에 빠져 골탕을 먹겠지? 키키키키

Betty(배티): (청중을 보며) 여러분, 천국 있죠?
(toward the children)Oh my friends! There is the kingdom of God, isn't there?
(아이들이 대답할 때까지 물어본다)( 아이들이 메롤! 하고 대답하면)
들어 봐, 있다잖아.
Hear that. They say Yes.
Tom(톰) : (청중에게 삿대질 하듯) 없어! 없어! 천국은 없어!!
(toward the children) No! No! There is nothing! There is no heaven.
Betty(배티): 너 나쁜 짓 하다가 죽으면 어디 가는지 알아?
Do you know where the bad children like you go after they die?
Tom(톰) : 알지
Yes, I know!
Betty(배티): 어디 가는 지 말해봐!
Tell me where they go!
Tom(톰) : 공동묘지 가지
Into the cemetery!
Betty(배티): 아냐! 지옥에 가!
No! They go into the hell!
Tom(톰) : 지옥? 지옥이 어디 있어? 그런 건 없어!
Hell? Where is the hell! There is no place like hell!
Betty(배티): 지옥 있어! (청중을 보며) 어린이 여러분 지옥 있지요~~?
Yes! There is the hell! (청중을보며)Everybody! There is hell, isn't There?
(아이들이 예스하고 대답하게 계속 물어본다.)(아이들이 대답하면)
들어봐 다들 지옥이 있다고 그러잖아
Listen! they are saying there is the hell.
Tom(톰) : 그럼 지옥이 어떤 곳인데?
Then, what is the hell like?
Betty(배티): 아주 뜨거운 곳이야
Sooni: It is a very very very hot place!
Tom(톰) : 뜨거워? 온천이야?
A hot place! Is it like an hot spring?
Betty(배티): 아냐 그보다 더 뜨거워
No! It is not yet hot like hell.
내가 한번 지옥이 얼마나 뜨거운지 보여줄께
I will try to show you how hot the hell is!
(팔팔 뛰며) 앗 뜨거워! 살려줘! 살려줘!

Tom(톰) : 왜그래? 너 미쳤니?

Betty(배티): 아야! 주님, 도와주세요!

Tom(톰) : 잰 세상에서 제일 바보야 (청중에게) 안그래?

(아이들 No! 하고 대답한다)
그래, 너희들 역시 바보야

(청중들에게 삿대질하듯)하나님은 없어!

(그리고 퉤! 하고 침을 뱉는다.)
(맞은 편을 보면서)어? 어른이 오는데? 숨어야겠다.

Teacher(선생님): 어흠, 아니 어떤 녀석이 우리 교회 아이들을 못살게구는 거야?
Hum! Who is always making troubles to our church children?
(어린이들을 보며) 여러분 혹시 또또녀석 봤어요?
Children have you seen Toto?
지금 걔 어디 있어요?

(이 때 톰 인형틀 위로 얼굴을 내민다. 아이들 위에 있다고 소리칠 것이다.)
(아이들이 위에!라고 소리치면)
위에?? 아니 없네! (톰, 어느새 아이들이 볼 수 있는 다른 곳으로 옳겨있다.)
Over this house? none!
옆에 있다고? 없네 !
Beside this house? no one!
지금 걔 어디 있어요? (선생님 뒤에 숨어있다. )
Where is He now?
(아이들이 뒤(behind)에 있다고 소리친다. )
뒤에? 어디! (뒤를 돌아보면 사라진다 이렇게 여러번 한다)
Behind me? here?
(그러다가)뒤를 기습하여 잡아낸다)
오케이 여기 있구나!
Ok! here is Tom!
자 어서 나오라구 두통이
Come out quickly Tom.
Tom(톰) : 왜 그러세요 선생님
What's the matter with you? Sir?
Teacher(선생님): 너 교회 친구들 때렸지?
You hit your friends who was going to church! Didn't you?
Tom(톰) : 아니예요 그런적 없어요

Tom(톰) : (아이들을 향해 따지듯이) 안그랬어요. 여러분

Teacher(선생님): 애야 넌 왜 날마다 교회다니는 아이들을 괴롭히는 거야?
Why do you always make troubles to your friends?
Tom(톰) : 교회 다니는 아이들 아주 나빠요!
I think the church children are so bad.
Teacher(선생님): 왜 넌 그렇게 생각하는 거야?
Why do you think so?
Tom(톰) : 아이들이 나하고 안 놀아요
They don't like to play with me!
Teacher(선생님): 그 이유는 네가 아이들을 날마다 때리기 때문이야

톰아 교회 가서 예수님을 믿자꾸나

너는 날마다 도둑질하고 남의 것을 빼앗지?
You always steal others, and snatch from others.
Tom(톰) : 난 너 싫어. 나가! 난 너 싫어
I don't like you, get away!
욕심마귀(devil of greed): 너는 정말 버릇없는 아이로구나!

선생님(Teacher) :. 예수님은 널 구원해주실 거야 그는 우리의 구원자시거든
Jesus will save you because He is our Saviour.
그는 네 죄를 위해 십자가에서 돌아가셨단다.
He was crucified and died upon the cross for your sins.
Tom(톰) : 왜 하나님의 아들이 나를 위해 돌아가셨어요?

선생님(Teacher) :.그가 너를 정말 사랑하시기 때문이야

Jesus: 너를 사랑하기 때문이다
Because I love you.
Tom(톰) : 나는 죄가 많은데 나도 당신을 믿으면 구원 받을 수 있나요?
Even if I have many sins, Can I be saved when I believe in You?
Jesus: 누구든지 나를 믿는자는 멸망치않고 천국에 들어가 영원히 살 것이다.
Whoever believe in me, will not be perished, and go to the Heaven and live there forever.

And After then Tom became a good boy
그리고 주일마다 교회에 열심히 나갔어요
And he went to the church every Sunday.
