1. GOLD NFT – 093 Narrative
While exploring humanity’s cultural heritage, I discovered that the great masters of centuries past also portrayed the sins that consume the human soul through the imagery of “beasts within the heart” and “monsters that devour the spirit.” Like myself, they too witnessed the reality of “The Sin-Monster Virus Within the Forbidden Fruit”—a hidden and destructive force that manifests through pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth within humanity.
If countless artists and thinkers throughout history sought to reveal this invisible and corrupting force through woodcuts and canvases, I seek to engrave it upon the blockchain, a new form of record-keeping, so that it may be preserved beyond time.
This record serves as a solemn warning to modern humanity, which lives while forgetting the tragic reality that has long shaped and influenced human history. It is also a message of awakening, calling upon those who live under the influence of sin to rise and seek true freedom.
The work visually maps the internal symbolic structure of human moral corruption within the human heart:
★Central Figure (Satan): Occupies the center of the heart, holding a trident and symbolizing total domination over the human spiritual condition.
★Peacock: Represents Pride—the elevation of the self above humility and divine order.
★Goat: Represents Lust—uncontrolled desire and excess.
★Pig: Represents Gluttony—the compulsive urge to consume and accumulate.
★Turtle: Represents Sloth—a state of spiritual and physical inertia that weakens moral awareness.
★Lion: Represents Wrath—destructive and uncontrolled anger.
★Snake: Represents Envy—poisonous jealousy and resentment toward others.
★Frog: Represents Backbiting and Slander—the act of speaking harmfully or maliciously about others in concealment.
☀ External Symbolism: Flames surround the heart as a boundary-like structure. Behind the heart, a human figure is depicted in suffering and internal anguish. In the upper right, an angel and the Holy Spirit (a dove) observe the corrupted heart, symbolizing sorrow and a call toward spiritual awakening.
2. Artistic Rarity
The original work is based on a seminal iconographic composition by the 19th-century German theologian Johannes Gossner, later reproduced as a woodcut engraving in 1851 in Pennsylvania, USA. The composition presents a rare visual interpretation of the human heart as a symbolic field of moral and spiritual struggle. It combines the symbolic language of medieval Gothic art with the precision of 19th-century engraving techniques. As such, it holds a distinctive position within religious iconography and art historical studies.
3. Asset Perspective
The original printed editions and related historical documents are preserved as part of public cultural heritage within major national libraries and institutional archives worldwide. Due to legal and physical limitations, these materials cannot be privately owned or freely traded in conventional art markets.
Through blockchain technology, this cultural heritage is reinterpreted as a digital art asset under the concept of “Art Gold.” This approach provides a method of preserving and referencing historical artworks in a digital environment, allowing their cultural and symbolic significance to be documented in a permanent and immutable form.
4. Estimated Significance
As the 093rd piece within the 500-work Biblical Epic Series, this artwork forms a narrative counterpart to the preceding 092 piece, together contributing to the broader conceptual framework of the collection.
Its value lies in its historical rarity, theological symbolism, and documented provenance. Within the context of fine art and archival studies, it represents a culturally and academically significant visual document of moral and religious iconography.
5. Cultural and Collectible Potential
Depictions of human moral conflict and the Seven Deadly Sins remain enduring themes within art history, continuing to appear in contemporary visual culture, including modern illustration, surrealism, and digital art practices.
The imagery presented in this work retains strong interpretive relevance across generations due to its symbolic depiction of human inner conflict. Combined with the “Art Gold” conceptual framework and blockchain-based preservation methodology, the work is positioned as part of a long-term cultural and digital archival project.
