제2회 세계디카시인상을 수상하신 이병석시인께서 주최. 주관하셨습니다
미국 독립 250주년을 기념하여
미국인만을 대상으로 디카시공모전을 개최하였는데
연방 미하원의 의원까지 감동하였다고 합니다
한국에서 발원한 디카시를 알리는데 크게 기여한 공모전이었습니다

My children played in the shadow of the tanner’schimney.
We ate in the shade of the trees and felt the samebreeze
that the tanner must have welcomed on those hot summer days. Did his children play nearby? Did his grandchildren?
Were they in his heart when he signed the Declaration?

무두장이의 굴뚝
내 아이들은 무두장이의 굴뚝 그늘 아래 뛰놀았다.
우리는 나무 그늘에 앉아 식사를 하며 무더운 여름날, 그 역시 반겼을 바람을 함께 느꼈다.
그의 아이들도 이 근처에서 놀았을까? 손주들도 그랬을까?
