Canadian Pacific #2317 shows off her profile on Steamtown's turntable. The drivers for this Pacific class locomotive are impressive at 5'7" high. Currently, the engine is limited to yard shuttles but will soon be out of service pending an FRA mandated inspection. Rebuilding will be put on hold until both Baldwin 0-6-0 #26 and Boston and Maine #3713 are restored to operation.

Montreal-built passenger power... Passenger locomotives from Canada's two largest railroads, both built by the Montreal Locomotive Works, are represented in this photo. Canadian Pacific 4-6-2 2317, built by MLW in June 1923, spent most of her time north of the border hauling passenger trains in western Canada and now toils on Steamtown's yard shuttles. Canadian National 4-6-4T 47, built by MLW in September 1914, was used in suburban commuter service in Montreal and now sits outside near the walkway bridge to the Steamtown Mall.
