The tracks "outside the fence" at the Pielet Bros. scrapyard in Mc Cook, Illinois, could often be very interesting. EJ&E Baldwin "Centercab" 702 was earlier traded-in to EMD, as credit on a new SD38.

Number 21 is the lone survivor of an original five (20-24) Baldwin DT6-6-2000 locomotives once operated by the MN&S, and also is the last of its kind anywhere. Built in December 1948, it is now part of the Illinois Railway Museum's classic diesel collection. It is shown in 1983, shortly after arriving at Union. The big unit is occasionally fired up and operated for special events by IRM.
