Raising Plants at Home
Talk about raising plants at home.
I happened to receive a small potted plant as a gift.
That's how I first started raising a plant.
I had no prior experience, so I was worried
that it might die.
But I was spending a lot of time at home due to
the coronavirus pandemic, so it seemed like
a good idea to have a plant at home.
Thankfully, the plant I received was not
a high-maintenance plant.
It just had to get plenty of sun, and I had to water
it regularly.
But something felt amiss with just one plant,
so I went to a flower shop and bought a few more.
Each weekend, as I wiped down the leaves
and saw how green they were, I felt at ease.
Then one day, I was held spellbound
when I saw new buds gratification.
I can't put my finger on it, but it's almost like
raising children.
집에서 반려식물(화분)을 키우는 것에 대해서
이야기해 주세요.
우연히 작은 화분 하나를 선물 받았는데,
그렇게 처음으로 식물을 키우게 되었습니다.
한 번도 키워 본 적이 없어서 죽을까 봐 걱정이
되었습니다.

햇빛을 충분히 쬐고 물만 규칙적으로 주면 되었습니다.
그런데 왠지 화분 하나만 있는 것이 허전해서, 화원에
가서 몇 개를 더 구매했습니다.
매주 주말에 나뭇잎을 닦아 주고 푸릇푸릇한 잎을
보면서 마음이 편안해지는 것을 느꼈습니다.
그러던 어느 날 새순이 들은 것을 보고 너무 신기했어요.
적은 화분이 크는 것을 보면서 왠지 모르게 흐뭇한
느낌이 듭니다.
꼭 집어 말할 수는 없지만 마치 자식을 키우는 것
같습니다.

이야기해 주세요.

우연히 작은 화분 하나를 선물로 받게 된 것을 계기로
생전 처음으로 식물을 키우게 되었습니다.
한번도 키워본 적이 없는지라,
금방 시들어 죽어버릴까봐 걱정을 했었습니다.

That's how I started growing a plant for the first time.
Without prior experience with raising plants,
I was worried that it might wilt and die before long.
