Mother and Daughter
Talk about parents.
Just hearing the word "mom" makes me choke up.
During my adolescence, I hated watching my mom
work so hard as sh sacrificed everything for her kids.
I vowed to be different, and dreamed of becoming
a DINK couple.
But in the end, I got married and had three kids.
Just like my mom, I gave my all to my kids as
I raised them and worked at my job.
My mom lives alone now.
I want to be a source of energy for her in her twilight
years.
So I call her up often and tell her how much I love her.
Meanwhile, I've raised my daughters as alpha girls.
I feel proud when I see them take charge of their lives.
I am rooting for them to break the glass ceilling
and soar higher and higher.
부모님에 대해서 이야기해 주세요.
나는 '엄마'라는 단어만 들어도 가슴이 먹먹해진다.
사춘기 시절, 자식을 위해 모든 것을 헌신하며 힘들게
일하는 엄마를 지켜보는 것이 싫었다.
엄마처럼 살지 않기로 다짐하며 딩크족을 꿈꾸었다.
하지만 나는 결국 결혼을 하고 아이 셋을 낳았다.
