나의 길었던 고3 수험 생활이 끝이 났다.
대학 원서를 쓰고나서 시간이 많이 생겨 뭘 해얄까
고민중이었다.
뭔가 의미있는 일을 하고 싶었다.
난 그냥 뭔가 의미있는 일을 하고 싶어졌다.
-My long year as a high school senior came to an end.
I had plenty of free time after applying to college
and I was thinking about what to do.
I just wanted to do something meaningful.
+ high school senior : 고3
+ come to an end : 끝이 나다,종식되다
+ plenty of : 많은
+ something meaningful : 의미있는 일, 의미있는 것
vg) -thing,-one,-body + 형용사
+ apply to college : 대학에 지원하다
블로그를 하나 시작했다.
그동안 다른 사람들이 발행한 포스팅을 읽을 때는
블로그 하는 게 그렇게 어려워 보이지 않았다.
그런데 막상 내가 직접 해보니 그게 쉽지 않았다는 것을
느꼈다.
- I started a blog.
When I read posts issued by other people so far,
running a blog didn't seem that hard.
But once I tried to do it myself, I found it to be difficult.
+ issue : 발행하다
+ so far : 지금껏,지금까지
+ run a blog : 블로그를 운영하다
+ seem + 형용사 : ~인 것 같다, 로 보이다
+ once 주어 동사 : 일단 ~해보니, 일단 ~하면
+ find something to be : ~라고 느끼다,~라고 여기다
내 콘텐츠로 글쓰기를 시작하니깐, 이것 저것 생각이
많아져서 이것들을 정리하는 것에 애를 먹었다.
- As I started posting my own content,
I had so many ideas that I had a hard time getting
my thoughts in order.
+ get one's thoughts in order : 생각을 정리하다
+ have a hard time ~ing : ~하는데 어려움을 겪다,
애를 먹다
블로그나 유튜브의 조회수를 늘릴 수 있는 비법을
알려주는 책들을 사봐야 하나 고민도 했다.
좋은 포스팅을 위해 이런 노하우를 익히는 것이
당근 필요할 듯 싶었다.
- I thought about whether I should buy some books
with pointers on how to increase the number of hits
for blogs and on YouTube.
I think that this kind of know-how is necessary
to create good postings.
+ pointers on : ~에 대한 비법,조언
+ the number of hits(views): 조회수
+ know-how : 요령,노하우
책을 쓴 대부분의 블로거분들께서 알기 쉽게 차근 차근
설명해주었다.
나에게 요령을 알려주었고, 그들의 알려준 대로 하루에 하나씩
게시물을 꾸준히 올려보려고 마음먹었다.
- Most of the bloggers in the books walked me through it.
They showed me the ropes and according to their pointers
I decided to try to write at least one post each day first up.
+ walk someone through it : 알기 쉽게 차근 차근 설명해주다
+ show someone the ropes : ~에게 요령을 알려 주다.
