호국의 6월

포성이 하늘을 찢던 그날의 6월
산하는 불길 속에 울부짖고
강물은 핏빛 되어 흘렀다
어머니는 아들을 잃고
아내는 남편을 잃었으며
젊음들은 조국의 이름 아래 쓰러졌다
하지만
우리는 무너지지 않았다
국민은 서로 서로 손을 잡고
나라를 지켜내고 일으켰다
재가 된 마을에 태극기를 세우고
폐허가 된 공장을 고치며
메마른 땅 위에 희망의 씨앗을 뿌렸다
세계 곳곳엔 아직도
포화의 두려움이 멈추지 않는다.
러시아와 우크라이나의 대지에서
중동의 타오르는 사막에서
전쟁의 참혹함을 되풀이하고 있다
아직은 휴전선이 가로놓여
긴장 속에 숨 쉬고 있는 한반도!
결코 역사의 아픔을 잊지 말자
나라를 사랑하는 마음
자유를 지키려는 굳건한 의지로
대한민국을 영원히 지켜내자
호국은 총칼만이 아니라
서로를 아끼는 마음이며
나라를 위한 작은 책임의 실천이다
6월!
이제 슬픔의 달이 아니라
희생을 기억하는 감사의 달이다
이름 없이 산화한 호국영령들
그대들이 남긴 숭고한 뜻이
우리 가슴마다 별처럼 살아
대한민국의 자유와 영광을
영원히 빛나게 하리라!
June of Patriotic Remembrance

June, the month when gunfire tore the sky apart
Mountains and rivers cried out in flames,
and the rivers flowed stained with blood
Mothers lost their sons
Wives lost their husbands
And the young fell
beneath the sacred name of the nation
Yet
We did not collapse
The people joined hands with one another,
protecting and rebuilding the country
They raised the Taegeukgi over villages turned to ashes
Repaired factories left in ruins,
and sowed seeds of hope upon the barren land
Even now, across the world,
the fear of gunfire has not ceased
On the plains of Russia and Ukraine
In the burning deserts of the Middle East
The horrors of war are repeated again and again
And on the Korean Peninsula,
the Armistice Line still lies across the land,
breathing tension into every silence
Let us never forget the pain of history
With love for our country,
and an unshakable will to defend freedom
Let us safeguard the Republic of Korea forever
Patriotic devotion is not only guns and swords
It is the heart that cherishes one another
And the practice of small responsibilities for the nation
June!
No longer merely a month of sorrow
But a month of gratitude that remembers sacrifice
to the patriotic spirits who fell without a name
May the noble ideals you left behind
live like stars within our hearts
and forever illuminate
The freedom and glory of the Republic of Korea.
