a couple of of pics of a Sparrow hybrid and a yellow monk seedling ex our friend YYYY from
China. We moved house a bit over a year ago and it took some six months to
get a permanent home for my beauties and during that time they did suffer
some neglect. The plants pictured were given a feed of Azalea osmocote ( for
acid lovers) three or four months ago and a couple of waterings of fish
emulsion since. The difference in the leaf health is very evident. And the
painted face effect is beginning to fade.
Now I'm wondering if many of the painted face plants are actually nitrogen-deficient rather than having less chlorophyll between the veins - or whatever it is that creates the patterns.
I'll be fascinated by whatever comments and replies are posted on this topic.
