마음의 태양
꽃다이 타오르는 햇살을 향하여
고요히 돌아가는 해바라기처럼
높고 아름다운 하늘을 받들어
그 속에 맑은 넋을 살게 하라.
가시밭길을 넘어 그윽히 웃는 한 송이 꽃은
눈물의 이슬을 받아 핀다 하노니,
깊고 거룩한 세상을 우러르기에
삼가 육신(肉身)의 괴로움도 달게 받으라.
괴로움에 짐짓 웃을 양이면
슬픔도 오히려 아름다운 것이,
고난을 사랑하는 이에게만이
마음 나라의 원광(圓光)은 떠오른다.
푸른 하늘로 푸른 하늘로
항시 날아오르는 노고지리같이
맑고 아름다운 하늘을 받들어
그 속에 높은 넋을 살게 하라.
The sun of my heart
Like a sunflower turning head quietly
To face the sun burning like flowers,
Let revere the high beautiful sky
For our clear soul to inhabit there.
A flower smiling quietly over thorn bush
Is known to bloom in the dew of tears;
Accept gladly even your bodily pain
To revere the profound and holy world.
If you smile in tour trouble,
Even your grief will turn into beauty.
Only he who loves his trouble
Will have a halo rising in his heart.
Like larks always flying up in the blue sky,
Let revere the clear beautiful sky
For our noble soul to inhabit there
