Jinjam, 3000 Years of Great Journey
Jinjam and Sanjang mountain are marked on Kim Jeong-ho's Daedongyeojido.
From the Paleolithic Age to the Bronze Age, the three Kingdoms Period, the Baekje Kingdom, the Goryeo Dynasty, and the Joseon Dynasty, there are cultural heritages from all ages. Let's take a look at human footprints in order and feel historical and sympathetic.
A place rich in mountains and water was a good place to live in our country. The saying that the dolmens are located in the Myeongdang confirms this. The history of the great process of human culture, which has been built, protected, and passed on to future generations, is truly great. Therefore, the 3,000-year history of Jinjam is a great journey and an indicator of our lives that the road should remember.
Paleolithic Site
Stoneware from the Paleolithic Age was discovered in the Daejeongdong logistics center area and stone tools were excavated.
Paleolithic Excavated in Daejeongdong
Neolithic Site
A piece of earthenware was found in Gyochondong.
Bronze dolmen
Gyochondong Chilseongdaengi's dolmen
Seven dolmens are lined up in Chilseongdaengi village. This is the area where dolmens are concentrated, as they are located near Hanumul village and the dolmens in Naedongri. There are 13 dolmens within a 1.2 km radius.
The dolmens found in the construction of a logistics center were brought to Daejeongdong neighborhood park. The two are very large as cover stones, and the rest are used as boulders and there are many broken stones.
There is one in the field behind the Hanumul village in Daejeongdong and two dolmens with holes in Mamgol, 500 meters away from here.
Mahan of the Three Kingdoms
Long fruitshaped earthenware (Yonggyedong)/ Deep-set earthenware(Yonggyedong)
It is known as the site of Sinheunkuk, one of the 54 countries in Mahan, under the Bingye Mountain in Gyesandong. I believe that the economic foundation here has been established for the development of culture in the central region and the development of the country as a full-fledged nation. Earthenware was excavated from Yonggyedong.
Baekje, Seongbukdong mountain fortress
Seongbukdong mountain fortress is located in Sanjan mountain. Currently, the castle is almost destroyed, but it is relatively well preserved about 50 meters in the south. The well remains. Professor Ji Heonyoung of Chungnam National University said, "Through the "Duryang yunseong" study, Baekje forces pressured the Na-dang Allied Forces in Sanjang mountain fortress and put them in a difficult situation." The fortress is about 600 meters long, and from the top of the mountain, Gyeryong mountain's Sindoan area, Geumsu Peak, Bingye mountain, Seodae mountain, and Geumbyeong mountain were all well visible.
Goryeo dynasty, Stone Bodhisattva
The Stone Bodhisattva statue is currently located at Bongdeoksa Temple in Seongbukdong, beyond the mountain. This Bodhisattva statue was originally located in Hangjeolgol, Gyochondong, but was moved to Jinjam primary school in 1935 and came to what is now Bongdeoksa temple. The five-story stone pagoda was also moved from Hangjeolgol to Jinjam primary school in 1935 and again to Bongdeoksa Temple. It was relocated. Bongdeoksa temple was originally called Seokmunanjeol by residents.
Bongdeoksa Temple has a collection of tile, each of which is named Seokmunsa Temple, proving to be an old temple.
Joseon Dynasty, Jinjamhyanggyo local confucian school/Kiseongkwan
Jinjamhyanggyo local confucian school
Jinjamhyanggyo local confucian school was built in 1405 (the 5th year of King Taejong's reign) and houses five saints and 18 wise men of China and Korea. It consists of Wesammun, Myeongnyundang, Dongjae and Seojae, Naesammun, and Daeseongjeon. Although it has not been operated for decades since the Japanese colonial era and 6.25, it has continued to provide basic classical education such as Analects, Mencius, Basic Literature, and Sohak since more than 30 years ago. The tuition fee is free of charge, and five saints and 18 wise men are held at Daeseongjeon Hall on the first and fifteenth days of the lunar calendar every month. At this time, it was a memorial service for Seonghyeon and a silent prayer service, not a restaurant. In spring and autumn, the Seokjeondaeje was held to prepare food and perform ancestral rites. Jinjamhyanggyo local Confucian school holds a ceremony to celebrate the reception of the Yuseong Hot Spring Culture Festival.
Kiseongkwan
Located next to the Jinjamdong community center, Kisungkwan moved from Gyochondong to its current location in 1934. It is the only government building remaining in Daejeon. This is the place where Jinjamhyeon was doing administrative work. You can feel the aesthetic sense of our ancestors because they have good Dancheong.
Here, under the zelkova tree, which is more than 400 years old, you can see the moon and the stars well, and it blends with the established view to feel the mysterious feeling of the past, present, and universe coexisting.
