The False Prophet /거짓선지자
Revelation 13:11-18
Greatest religious Deceiver and hypocrite to ever walk the face of the Earth will be this person.
*The following he has is massive
*The faith he has is in man
There is much preaching in our modern generation about the power of positive thinking. Religion teaches today that the answer is in man and his programs and not in God. This false prophet will instill great confidence in the political leadership of the Antichrist, and encourage the masses to cave in to that mindset.
*The falsehood and fire he has is manipulative
Notice that he comes as a lamb and verse 11, harmless and timid in his approach. He has power to give life to the image of the Antichrist set up in Jerusalem, which sheds light on his power of persuasion and deception. Jesus warned the disciples on the Mount of Olives that the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the Prophet would be set up in the Holy place. The reason Jesus said "he that reads needs to understand" is because the abomination of desolation had already occurred in Jewish history with the setting up of the image in the temple of Antiochus epiphanes, the evil Greek leader. In the Apocrypha we read of The Maccabean revolt against this image which was overthrown. It was a well-known history lesson to Jews, but it was a foreshadow of what was to come in the last days with the power of this false prophet to cause the worship of one man.
The two witnesses had the power call fire down from heaven, but now that they have been martyred the false prophet mimics the Miracle by doing so himself just as Janice and jambres withstood Moses in Egypt.
*The financing he has is a must!
In the days of the Great Tribulation, everything from buying a car, balancing a national budget, or buying a baby pacifier will require the mark of the beast. You cannot buy a hamburger or a pack of chewing gum without it! Not even a secret purchase of drugs or weapons can be done without this Mark. It is a must for survival in this dark time upon Earth unless you can go underground for your faith and have a network of people to help you attain food and clothing while in hiding.
*The fate he has is mind-boggling (Lake of Fire)
Have you ever seen a Lake of Fire? I visited Kilauea volcano a few years ago and looked down into the Caldera where the bright red lava splashed and exploded. There were some lava flows coming forth from the crater that were so bright that it was like looking at the sun in the daytime. I cannot imagine spending an eternity in a place like that without the possibility of dying. The Antichrist and the false prophet will go to a place like this from the presence of God forever and those who followed them.(Brian Dades)
