The title of my expression in the space 18b at the Bembo 2019 is “The Unknown”.
What is the unknown?
The unknown is what asks to be explored, in all possible encounters. Since, however small and humble they may seem, they could be the unanticipated yet decisive granules of the research.
They can be found anywhere, anyone can leave traces of them, inadvertently or not.
The results of this journey take the form of a product: a painting, a sculpture, a video, a ceramic piece, an installation.
Such items contain messages which are unexpected and unintentional, hidden until the very end even to their author.
Will they be perceived in a different way by the viewers? That is again the unknown.

Currently based in Lugano, he travelled extensively for business in the Far East since an early age. During these trips, he kept cahiers of voyage where he captured his impressions in watercolour images.
Merging such experiences which his Italian background, immersed in classical culture and myth, he expresses his memories and dreams of beauty through multiple means.
His visions live in the threads of masks moved by the breeze, in painting on different sorts of paper, in the clay pieces enameled in raku, and in the digital production of videos and printed images, collages of ordered elements found in the Library of Babel.
Using materials to leave traces of an immaterial wisdom learned during his long voyage.
In brief
Humans have always tried to be remembered by leaving some traces of their passage. What we do now is to post and erase our fantasies on a huge digital cave.
By doing so, we express our genetic information and our rational understanding of what happens around us.
This can be done by prose, poetry, paintings, sculpture. Being published, established, prized, becomes a detail, since we all are leaving a proof of our existence on the walls of the cave.

"L'inconnu". Quel est l'inconnu? L'inconnu est ce qui demande à être exploré, dans toutes les rencontres possibles. Même si elles semblent petites et modestes, elles pourraient être les granules imprévus mais décisifs de la recherche. On peut les trouver n'importe où, tout le monde peut en laisser des traces, par inadvertance ou non. Les résultats de ce voyage prennent la forme d'un produit: une peinture, une sculpture, une vidéo, une pièce en céramique, une installation. John Doing Actuellement basé à Lugano, il a beaucoup voyagé pour des affaires en Extrême-Orient depuis son plus jeune âge. Au cours de ces voyages, il a gardé des cahiers de voyage où il a capturé ses impressions en aquarelle. Das Unbekannte ist das, was in allen möglichen Begegnungen erforscht werden muss. So klein und bescheiden sie auch erscheinen mögen, sie könnten die unvorhergesehenen, aber entscheidenden Körnchen der Forschung sein. Sie können überall gefunden werden, jeder kann unbeabsichtigt oder nicht Spuren von ihnen hinterlassen.
Die Ergebnisse dieser Reise haben die Form eines Produkts: ein Gemälde, eine Skulptur, ein Video, ein Keramikstück, eine Installation.
Solche Elemente enthalten unerwartete und unbeabsichtigte Nachrichten, die bis zum Ende selbst für ihren Autor verborgen sind.
Werden sie von den Zuschauern anders wahrgenommen? Das ist wieder das Unbekannte.

Derzeit in Lugano ansässig, reiste er seit jungen Jahren intensiv in den Fernen Osten. Während dieser Reisen führte er Reisen durch, auf denen er seine Eindrücke in Aquarellbildern festhielt.
