Korean Admiral Yi sun-sin won many sea battles Hideyoshi, in charge of Japanese forces, wanted to recover the victory and take a safe supply route. So he assembled the fleet formation and set off for the narrow channel of Korea. Admiral Yi knew the narrow sea was an unfit place for battle. he left some ships in front of the open sea and lure the enemy out into that place. When the Japanese were trapped, he ordered his navy to attack the enemy surrounding in a semi-circle and poured firestorms on the enemy ships. In the end, he won by a landslide without any losses. Thanks to this battle, Korean got back their capital cities and admiral Yi sun-sin became the respected general in Korean history. Also this “Hansando sea battle” is considered as ranking among the greatest naval battles of world history.
