I am honor to have you in my Monday Euphony Presentation Class. May the year of blue ram bring you peace, prosperity, happiness, and a good command of English!
Ahead of beginning my comments, I would like to explain the purpose of this class. It was expressly designed for checking each person’s presentation manner on the stage. On Mondays, presenters would convey what they had memorized during a week. Keeping gestures, pronunciation, stress and chunk between words in check comes to a quantum leap of your English Presentation Skill. Let me allow check out these matters.

Se[j]ong, [J]apanese
The /j/ sound is made with the exact same mouth positioning as the /ch/ sound, but the /j/ sound is voiced. A following video clip would let you know how to pronounce ‘J’
As an English leaner, I strongly recommend you to follow each pronunciation in any audio file though the word was driven by Korean Language. When you read Korean Language in English way, you might come to know how to pronounce Each Alphabet. I hope you to keep this in mind.
Bo[r]n, [R]eplace, [R]ebell, A[r]ray
‘R’ sound is a bit weak. Especially ‘R’ sound is so challenging both to speak and teach. Particularly, the sound of R is achieved by bringing your tongue up and to the back of the mouth. When the bulk of your tongue placed on the roof of the mouth between the hard palate and the soft palate, voice the sound. ‘R!’
[Th]ird, [Th]rone
The way to pronounce ‘TH’ is to put your tongue between your teeth and you voicing ‘ㄷ’ sound. You should keep this in mind speaking not only the word ‘These’, but also ‘This’, ‘Them’, ‘That’, ‘Those’, and so on and so forth.
[L]oot
A way to pronounce Alphabet ‘L’ is as follows. Open your mouth slightly. Let the tip of your tongue touch at the gum of your top teeth. And pronounce ‘L’
[Q]ueen
For having your pronunciation enhance, I would like you to check your shape of mouth by the time of voicing ‘Q’ sound. Making your lips round (O-shape) is best way to pronounce ‘Q’ exactly. And its phonic sound maybe heard like ‘Qwuh’. Listening to pronunciations of ‘Queen, Equal, and Quality’ would be helpful to understand this.
Inaugurate, A[p]ril, Ensh[ri]ne, Es[ta]blish, Mar[ch], Syst[e]m, Turb[u]lent
Above word pronounced by you was a little bit different with what I had listened to voice records in online dictionary. Please check on these matters. Especially the alphabet that I stressed with square brackets
<Long Vowel Sound & Stress>
Period - phonetic alphabet /ˈpir-ē-əd/
You have to put more stress on Alphabet ‘P’, and then make a long vowel sound of ‘ē’
Series- phonetic alphabet / ˈsir-(ˌ)ēz/
You have to put more stress on Alphabet ‘S’, and then make a long vowel sound of ‘ē’
Establish - phonetic alphabet /i-ˈsta-blish/
You have to put more stress on Alphabet ‘S’.
<Ending Sound>
Spann[ed]
Ending sound was missed.
<Intonation>
Your overall intonation was similar to the audio file. However, you would better listen to its audio file more.
<Manner>
Your tender and deep voice was enough to hook us. You looked stable and confident on the stage. However when delivering some part you felt hard to recite, your body was twisted and tilted as if you had obstacles to try pouring your words into us
<Mission>
This week’s mission is making ‘L’ sound correctly. Let us cheek on it om the upcoming stage.
The song I like the most is ‘Fate’ sang by Korean singer Lee Sun Hee. In the lyrics, the song defined the meaning of word ‘Fate’ as follows.
