Hello, I am Paul, a professional tour guide-docent with proven record track of over 200 tours for international tourists.
I am the only tour guide in Seoul, who introduce Korean traditional culture, based on Confucianism, national ideology of Joseon Dynasty that was last dynasty just before current Korea, and Confucianism is Korea's cultural identity.
Architecture and art are center of tour. Architecture and art contain religion, philosoph and mythological symbolism.
Appreciation of architecture and art require religious, philosophical and mythological understanding.
For example, without understanding of Christianity, the spirit of medieval Europe, we cannot fully appreciate beauty and value of Romanesque and Gothic architecture, but are just fascinated by the superficial feature of unusual and unfamiliar form of old building.
I will introduce core ideas of Confucianism and the Confucian principles.
I will provide insight into how Confucian principles influenced Korean architecture, art, and society, based on my study about Confucianism and Korean history and culture.

Tour is designed for you to explore Korean architecture, mythological symbols and history at Gyeongbokgung and Bukchon Hanok Maeul, and past Korean people’s life, customs and culture at Folk Museum, and Korean best art relics at National Museum.
Alongside, you will experience the taste of Korean traditional food and the joy of bustling atmosphere of traditional market at Gwangjang Market, and you will enjoy amazing panoramic view of Seoul from tower of Namsan Mountain.
My primary tourist destinations are focusing on Seoul and metropolitan area, consisting of Gyeongbokgung palace & Changdeokgung & its Rear Garden, Jongmyo Shrine, Bongeunsa Buddhist temple & Sunjeongneung Royal Tomb, Bukchon Hanok Village, National museum of Korea, War Memorial of Korea, other museums & galleries and contemporary architectures, and Namsan Mt. with N-eoul Tower, traditional & trendy market places such as Gwangjang market & Hongdae street, and COEX-Starfield library in Gangnam area, and also Korean Folk Village & DMZ tour in neighboring cities.
Alongside, I am specialist for hiking to Bukhansan Mt. and Inwangsan Mt. that are located in downtown Seoul, where you can enjoy beautiful natural sceneries and stunning view of Seoul.
