It's July 7th now, so it's been about a week since my trip to Malaysia
I'm still super jet-lagged😭
I had three flights and the longest was 14 hours while the other two were only like 40 minutes to 1 hour^^
This was my first time coming back to Malaysia in 3 years, so I was feeling quite nervous.
Usually I can sleep on planes, but this time I couldn't sleep at all. Then when I finally got to Malaysia, I only slept for 3 hours max..
Actually, that's what's happening right now too
I'm writing this at 4 am, and I woke up from an hour sleep not long ago🫠
Anyway, that's the update. I've basically just been fighting the jet lag the whole time 😭😭
I wanted to tell you all about my flights in detail, but after thinking about it for a while, I figured you might get bored if I did that because it'll be extremely long
I'll just show you some pictures instead!
My friend who arrived late said he really really wanted to buy me a drink one last time
That's why I'm having another drink🫠
He gave me his card for me to go buy
But I ended up not using his card at all!
The barista gave it to me for free🥺🥺
I was just asking him for drink recommendation He said bc it was my first time for this drink it's on the house 🙆
I was so surprised I blurted out "seriously?!" 😭😭
I think it's blueberry green tea and it tastes like Ribena
It's sweet and I was happy😋
I honestly have no memory of what I did on the plane other than listening to music
I downloaded many movies and dramas but I only managed to watch 2 episodes 😭
But the time passed by quite quickly
I was surprised my friend slept throughout the entire thing though
I think we swapped capabilities
I stayed in the hotel for a bit before taking another flight to my city the next day!
Got the chocolate xiaolongbao with sea salt cream sauce, some chicken xiaolongbao, chicken and prawn soup dumplings and spicy prawn fried rice 🫡🙂↕️
My favourite is the rice
I love rice and I love spicy ㅋㅋㅋ
I also got milk tea!
I really love malaysia milk tea more than anything in the world 😭🫶

They had all kinds of food even Western and Japanese but since I miss Malaysia
I just focused on eating from specifically the Malaysia section 🥴
Since Malaysia has a diverse culture, the food options are too many
You know we have Malays, Chinese and Indians~ We also have people from borneo🫶
We are different by race and ethnicity but we are all Malaysians and I love that about us
Ok enough of that let's get u back to food ㅋㅋ
I forgot what filling I got already but I like the yellow one I think it's crab
I wish they had mushroom chicken😔💔
But they didn't serve it this time
I'm a bit biased bc this is one of my comfort food since I was a kid

I went to the Malay food section next
Goreng means fried and nasi means rice
Kuey teow is that flat thin rice noodles
but with kuey teow goreng it's kinda like malay-chinese fusion and I'm in love
I think this is the best one from the buffet🙈

Malaysia's national dish and also my number 1 soul food🥺💖
It's got a little bit of everything
like proteins, carbs, veggies you know ㅎㅎ
Thats why I really like it!
and the rice is special!!!
it's coconut rice so it has a nice smell and creamy
We usually eat this for breakfast but some people eat it for lunch and dinner too😋

This nasi lemak isn't the best one I ever had tho!! But good enough😈❤️🔥

It's from Malaysia coffee culture (kopitiam)
Kopi means coffee!!
I got the hot milk tea tho... ㅎㅎ
And the toast is butter and kaya jam!
Kaya is like... uhm how do I explain this
Like coconut custard??
The texture is custardy for sure but the taste is better than I could describe it
I hope you can try it out soon~~
As I was eating it I think you'd really enjoy it
I kept thinking it'd be something you'd like
Talking about it right now is making me want to eat it..
Maybe I should get this for my breakfast instead of the nasi lemak again today😭

Finally some good fruits...
I used to eat dragon fruit a lot
so I'm happy that they had it for breakfast here
It was sweet and yummy and juicy and yummy and just chef's kiss😋
I can't wait to eat more fruits because it's cheap and good here

One of them is the nyonya curry laksa with thin rice noodles with tofu and chicken
There are more toppings but I can't remember bc I only ate a little of this😭😭

The one outside of the hotel is better so I can't wait to show u that if I eat it

It's Durian ice cream
To be honest I don't like flavoured durian taste but I really love the real durian
For me it doesn't smell bad at all
Junseo said he doesn't like durian🫥😤
But he never had it before...??

But Yuku if you don't like Durian it's ok
I'll let you off the hook bc I like you
(I like Junseo too but I'm hurt💔)
I didn't buy it this time😔
Plus it's not Durian season yet so I'm just waiting for the right time now
