Earlier this year, the Garden International School Malaysia community came together for our annual Street Store, donating clothing, textiles, and toiletries to create a dignified shopping experience for members of the Kuala Lumpur homeless community.
Led by our Action Strand students, the initiative transformed generosity into meaningful action, giving hundreds of donated items a new purpose while reminding us that small acts of kindness can make a lasting difference.
From collecting and sorting donations to setting up the store itself, our students demonstrated empathy, leadership, and a commitment to creating positive change beyond the classroom.
Thank you to everyone who contributed. Together, we made the 2026 Street Store one to remember.
올해 초 말레이시아 가든 인터내셔널 스쿨 커뮤니티는 연례 스트리트 스토어를 위해 함께 모여 쿠알라룸푸르 노숙자 커뮤니티 회원들에게 품위 있는 쇼핑 경험을 제공하기 위해 의류, 섬유, 세면도구를 기부했습니다.
액션 스트랜드 학생들이 주도한 이 이니셔티브는 관대함을 의미 있는 행동으로 전환하여 수백 개의 기부 물품에 새로운 목적을 부여하는 동시에 작은 친절 행위가 지속적인 변화를 가져올 수 있음을 상기시켰습니다.
기부금을 모으고 분류하는 것부터 매장을 직접 설립하는 것까지, 우리 학생들은 교실을 넘어 긍정적인 변화를 만들기 위한 공감, 리더십, 그리고 헌신을 보여주었습니다.
