“물 위를 걷는 것이 기적이 아니고,
땅 위를 걷는 것이 기적이다.”라는 말이 있다.
뇌경색으로 쓰러졌다가 살아나
어려운 재활 치료 끝에
다시 걸을 수 있는 사람이라면,
이 말의 의미를 절감한다.
오늘 내가 어제와 같음에,
그리고 온 가족이 무탈함에 진심으로 감사하자.
제 손으로 밥 떠먹고,
제 발로 걸어 다니고,
눈 감는 순간까지
내 몸을 내 의지대로 움직일 수 있다면
최고의 사치이자 행복입니다.
