◈ 1) 미국 컨벤션기획사 현황
-CMP(Certified Meeting Professional)는
CIC(Convention Industry Council)에서 운영 중이며 현재 7,500여명이 있음.
- CMM(Certification in Meeting Management)은
국제회의기획가 단체인 MPI(Meeting Professionals International)에서 운영, 발급 중임
ㆍ 미국, 일본을 포함, 유럽 20개국에서 실시되는 The Global Certification
ㆍ 부산시 TPO 사무국장 주환명 (40)씨 국내최초 자격증 취득
-ASAE(American Society of Association Executives)가 운영하는 CAE(Certified Association Executives)가 있으나 많이 알려져 있지는 않음.

-CEM(Certified Exhibition Management)이라고 하며 IAEM(International Association for Exhibition Management)에서 운영 중임
3)전시 경영 전문가 자격증 (CME, Certified Manager of Exhibits)
ㆍ 무역전시참가자협회 (Trade Show Exhibitors Association)에서 발급
ㆍ 한국에서는 최근 코엑스 전시1팀 장인정 대리(32)가 아시아 최초로 자격증 취득

- MIAA(호주회의산업협회, Meeting Industry Association of Australia)에서 컨벤션전문가 자격증(AMM, Accredited Meetings Manager)발급(1997년부터 시행)
5) 기타의 경우
- 유럽 각국, 일본 등에 지부를 두고 있는 국제회의전문가연합(MPI, Meeting Professional International)에서 컨벤션전문가 자격증(CMM, Certificate in Meeting Management) 을 발급
▒ CMP 시험 응시 자격 ▒
1)응시자격
-필수조건: 3년 이상의 회의 분야 경력과 현재 해당 업종 종사
-자격심사: 회의수행 경험, 교육 경력 등을 매겨 90점 이상 받아야 응시 자격 부여
Experience in Meeting Management - 35 points allowed
Management Responsibility - 55 points allowed
Education & Continuing Education - 20 points allowed
Membership in Professional Organizations - 10 points allowed
Professional Contribution to the Field - 30 points allowed
2) 취득절차
(1) 응시 자격 심사 : 응시일 1달 전 심사 완료
(2) 응시 지역 및 장소 부여 : 2주전
- 매년 두 번(1월 & 7월), 14개 지역(미국 & 캐나다)
(3) 합격 여부 : 응시 1달 이내 (응시자격 5년간 부여)
3) 임무 및 관리
-회의 유치 및 기획, 교육 강사, 관련 업무

-Successful completion of the application and acceptance into the CMM program
Part II Pre-residency
-Various reading assignments, a faculty survey and psychological type questionnaire
-Active participation in a case study team using on-line technology
Part III Residency
-Attendance in an intense 5-day residency program
-Participation in a group case study
-Individual exam (completed on-site or taken home)
Part IV Post-residency Business Project
-Successful completion of a strategic business plan which must be for either a new business venture or a restructuring your current situation
