Fariborz Lachini는 Persia 태생으로
Iranian-Canadian 영화 음악 작곡가이다.
그는 Iran과 France에서 작곡가로서
남다른 경력을 쌓았다.
18세 때 Iran에서 어린이를 위한
'Avaz Faslha va Rangha'를 작곡한 것이
그 시절 왕실의 주목을 끌면서
전문가의 길에 들어서게 되었다.
1979년 혁명 이후 대부분의 음악이 금지되었을 때
그는 세계적인 음악가의 꿈을 안고,
이란을 떠나 프랑스로 가서 Sorbonne 대학에서
음악학에 더해 computer를 공부하였다.
고국으로 돌아와
페르시아와 서구 정통 음악을 합성한
독특한 style로 이란에서 가장 사랑 받는
contemporary solo piano 앨범,
Paeez Talaee aka를 냈다.
90년대 초 어려운 여건 속에서 내 놓은
Golden Autumn(aka Paeez Talaee)은
급속히 이란 국내에서 가장 인기 있는 record가 되면서
'이란 Contemporary Piano의 대부' 란 명칭을 얻게 되었다.

또한 전 세계의 음악 애호가들에게도 사랑을 받게 되었고,
많은 피아노 교사들이 그 곡을 가르치게 되었다.
이란 영화가 날로 예술성이 높아가며
세계 영화제에서 각광을 받게 되면서
혁신적인 영화 음악의 선두 작곡자로서의 그의 명성은
그가 이미 이루어 놓은 성공 위에 더욱 빛을 발한다.
현재 25개 이상의 앨범을 냈으며
120 개의 영화음악과
10년 이상 T.V 시리즈를 담당하고 있다.
그는 클래식, 팝, 뉴에이지 등 어느 장르에서도
