V란 시리즈에 등장하는 외계인의 이름- 방문자(The Visitors)-과 저항군의 심볼인 Victory를 상징한다. 첫 방송은 1983년에 개봉된 2부작 《V》이며, 다음해에 3부작인 《V Final Battle》이 후속으로 방영되었다. 미니시리즈의 선풍적인 인기에 힘입어 1984-1985년에는 주 1회의 20회분량의 시리즈로 제작되었으나, 큰 인기는 거두지 못하였다. 이 작품은 인간의 외모를 한 파충류외계인이란 참신한 설정으로 방영 당시 제작국인 미국은 물론 유럽, 남미, 아시아 각국에서 파격적인 인기를 끌었다. 대한민국에서는 KBS2에서 방영된 바 있다. 한때 케네스 존슨의 소설《V: The Second Generation》에 기반한 새 시리즈물이 계획되었으나 철회 되었고 2009년에 동명의 드라마의 리메이크작이 방영했다.

Jeffrey Brian "Jeff" Yagher (born January 18, 1961) is an American actor.




Early life


Born in Lawrence, Kansas, he graduated from Ohio State University and then attended the Yale School of Drama, where he appeared in productions of The Vultures, We Can't Pay, We Won't Play, and Las Madres.

Career

His television debut was in V: The Series as Kyle Bates. Later, he starred in the pilot of 21 Jump Street as Tommy Hanson, the role that was taken over by Johnny Depp. He also appeared in several episodes of Six Feet Under, playing Hoyt Woodworth, in 2004. Most recently, Yagher continues to appear in other shows such as Without a Trace (2007) and Bones (2009).


Additionally, Yagher was an Elvis impersonator in an episode of The Twilight Zone called The Once And Future King. (The man who played Elvis' boss at the Crown Electric company was Red West, a real-life schoolmate and best friend of Elvis'.)


His film credits include Dead Man's Folly (1986), Big Bad Mama II (1987), Shag (1989), My Fellow Americans (1996), The Pandora Project (1998), and View from the Top (2003).
He also appeared in an episode of Newhart as Stoney and in an episode of Seinfeld as a jazz musician who dated Elaine.


He starred in the TV movie Bionic Showdown: The Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman along with Sandra Bullock in 1989.

Life and career


Tefkin was born in Los Angeles, California. She is best known for her role as Robin Maxwell on the 1983 science fiction miniseries V (replacing Dominique Dunne, who was murdered in pre-production), the 1984 sequel V: The Final Battle, and V: The Series. Other notable television roles include Chris Elliott's love interest, Charlene, on Get a Life.
Film roles include Fast Times at Ridgemont High (credited as Blair Ashleigh, she played a Pat Benatar lookalike), Three for the Road with Charlie Sheen, A Sinful Life with Anita Morris, Inside Monkey Zetterland, Dream Lover with James Spader, and The Anniversary Party with Gwyneth Paltrow. Two of Tefkin's original songs appeared on The Anniversary Party soundtrack.
Blair was a member at The Groundlings where she also performed in the comedy "Just Like The Pom Pom Girls" (for which she won both L.A. Weekly and Dramalogue awards). She went on to star in the film version A Sinful Life as Baby Bump.
In 1996, Tefkin signed a songwriting and development deal with PolyGram Publishing and formed pop band Lucie Gamelon, singing and playing bass. Lucie Gamelon played the L.A. music scene for several years, as well as major dates on the 1998 Lilith Fair tour and released a six-song EP: Everything Is Nice.
Tefkin released her first solo CD Shocked & Devastated, on her own Bossyboots Records label in 2001. In 2004, Tefkin wrote and performed a one-woman show In the Land of the Giants: A Tragicomedy With Music at the Blank Theatre in Hollywood
