0:10Steve here let's talk about throwing a cast net I was a beginner at this about
0:17a year ago and looked at every video on youtube to figure out what the best
0:23technique was and it's different with a three-foot at a four-foot net or
0:28internet like this 16 butter its or bigger they're like ripped like this

1:40work so the first thing you learn is make a deal loop and stick your paw
1:58through that to make sure that you don't lose the net when you throw it that
2:03actually happened to me and I had to retrieve the net with my anchor i had
2:08not tighten it down
2:10well enough then make sure the line is not tangled and reel it back in about a
2:18foot and a half the to Footloose now here's and an interesting thing
2:23obviously you need to make sure that the bottom of your nets is not tangled
2:33jiggle it up and down a little bit flop it out but one of the important things
2:40that i missed on many of the videos until i saw one guy's is do not grab the
2:47net like this at the at the horn grab it like this because it allows for a more
2:54natural release then on this 6-foot net i'm going to grab it.about at waste pipe
3:02and i'm going to fold it over and tightly back to fold into my fifth

3:14the Rope away from it then grab the bottom of the LED nine only grab two of

4:05it's a discus motion and you're going to turn your wrist down at the end while on
4:13this hand you're going to throw it down and that provides the spin you need to
4:19make sure that the net opens fully if you don't do this motion your network we
4:25open halfway so do not throw like a football overhand throw stiff-armed out
4:34and around turning this wrist you relief
4:39the net now one thing I found helpful when i was learning was not to try and
4:45throw in a mile but get a small throw get the technique down and then
4:50everything will work out pretty well
