The devil is not an external entity; it nothing more than an ancient allegory (not a literal interpretation) that was used to describe our unobserved ‘ego’ (lower, carnal mind/shadow self).
Hell is an metaphor to describe the feeling of being trapped within lower states of consciousness (the illusory, thought-created construct of our fear, hate, hopelessness, regret, superiority, inferiority, domination, greed, guilt, hedonism, limitation, scarcity and disconnectedness).
