제인 모네이트는 지금은 이미 40 이 넘은 나이이지만 
재즈 보컬계에 등장한 지 채 3년도 되지 않아 주목을 받게 된 실력파입니다. 

1998년 20세의 나이로 ‘실로니어스 몽크 컴피티션’의 보컬 부문에서 
2위에 오르며 두각을 나타냈으며, 2000년 5월 발표한 데뷔작 
Never Never Land 를 통해 평론가들의 호평을 받으며 
재즈 보컬계의 새로운 디바의 탄생을 예고 했고, 이어 2001년 5월 발표한 
앨범 Come Dream With Me 역시 빌보드 상위권에 랭크되는 등 
평론가들과 재즈 팬들 사이에 큰 화제가 되었지요. 

Jane Monheit 는 Pop과 Jazz 모두를 적절히 
조화시키고 소화할 줄 아는 음악적 테그닉과 
촉촉하고 풍부한 음성...뿐만아니라 
아름답고 매혹적인 그녀의 외모 또한 
뭇 남성 팬들의 시선을 잡아끌기에는 
충분했었습니다.. 

이곡은 1971년 BLUE 앨범에 수록된 
조니 미첼의 원곡으로 모네잇의 
COME DREAM WITH ME 에 수록된 곡이지요
입안에서 사르르 녹는 부드러운 카푸치노 느낌..

따사로운 오후 햇살 아래에서 들어도 좋을 만큼 
가볍게 편곡되었네요
