^^게임할 때마다 유니트 밑에 써있는 글이 궁금해서 이리저리 찾아봤는데

어디에도 없어서 결국 제가 미천한 실력으로 해석했습니다.

중복이라면 ㅋㅋㅋ 어디있는지 갈켜주세요^^

제가 영어를 무척 싫어하는 지라 대충 해석해서 이해 안되면 바로바로 의역했습니다.

오역이 많아도 이해해 주시고 잘못된 해석은  바로바로 지적해주시면 수정하겠습니다.

일단 영국 입니다.

Barbarian Peasants

Expert at Hiding in Forests\n\nPeasants are reluctant warriors, but barbarian peasants are better fighters than most: hard lives produce hard men. Numbers are useful in all armies, and forcing peasants to fight is one way of getting lots of men in the field quickly and cheaply. They have little tactical sense, and even less willingness to fight - they would rather be defending their own homes than be dragged to a battle they neither care about nor understand. They are, however, experts at reading the land and hiding when there is cover.

야만족 농민은 썩 능숙한 전사는 아니지만, 다른 문명권의 농민들과 비교하면 강한 편이다. 척박한 환경은 인간을 강하게 만드는 법이다. 쪽수가 많은 것은 대부분의 군대에서 매우 유리한데, 농민을 전쟁터로 끌고나오는 것은 빠르고 값싸게 쪽수를 늘릴 수 있는 한 가지 방법이다. 이들은 전략적 센스가 거의 없고 싸울 의지도 없다.-이들 농민들은 그들이 이해하지도 못하고, 신경쓰고 싶지도 않은 전쟁터에서 싸우는 것보다는 그들의 마을을 지키고 싶어할 것이다. 이들은 지형을 읽고 숨는데는 도사다.(짱박히는 건 잘한다죠)

Used to kill enemies from a distance, they are superb missile warriors.

바바리안 투석병 (영국)  투석병

숲에 짱박히는데 능숙하다

투석병의 무기는 놀라울정도로 단순하지만 그들의 무기는 단 한방으로 가장 강력한 전사를 쓰러트릴 수 있다. 그들은 적의 정면에서 돌팔매질을 할 때 파괴력을 극대화 할 수 있다. 그들은 어릴 때부터 돌팔매질을 이용한 사냥을 한 사람들이다. 이들은 고작 나이프나 작은 검, 또는 작은 방패를 가지고 있을 뿐 무장을 거의 하지 않았기 때문에 근접전에서 싸우는 것은 피해야 한다. 적과 멀리 떨어져 싸울 때, 이들은 엄청난 위력의 미사일 워리어가 된다.(무서운 워리어 다 죽었냐)

Head hurlers combine the practical and the macabre in equal measure - they collect the heads of fallen enemies and preserve these by dipping them in quicklime. The limed heads are used as disgusting missiles in battle, flung into enemy ranks at surprisingly long range. As missiles the heads are heavy enough to cause injuries (and have an undoubted impact on morale) but it is the lime that really does the damage, causing nasty burns. Head Hurlers also carry swords for use in close combat should this be necessary.\n\nHead hurlers, however, also show little regard for their own danger and are not above rushing into combat without orders.

헤드헐러는 전장에서 생석회에 절인 죽은 적 병사의 머리통을 던진다. 이 발사체는 위험하며 동시에 역겹다. 헤드헐러는 실용성과 섬뜩함이 잘 조화되어 있는데, 이들은 죽은 적의 목을 잘라 생석회에 담가 보관하였다가(생석회에 담근 머리통은 전쟁터에서 역겨운 무기가 된다) 놀라울 만큼 적 진영 깊숙히 날려보낸다. 머리는 부상을 입힐만큼 충분히 무겁지만(의심할 바 없는 사기저하 효과를 가지고 있다) 진정한 피해는 심각한 화상을 일으키는 석회에 의해 발생한다. 헤드헐러는 근접전을 대비하여 검을 가지고 있으며 위험에 둔감하다. 이들은 가끔 명령없이 달려 나갈 때도 있다.

In warfare it is up to each man to prove his own bravery and worth, so the savage charge into the enemy is about as sophisticated as they ever want to be!\n\nEach man carries a stabbing spear and a large shield.

워밴드는 세력가나 작은 마을의 지도자에게 복종하는 병사들이다. 이들은 야만족의 군대에서 쉽게 볼 수 있는 가장 기본적인 유니트이다. 이들은 명예와 약탈을 통한 신분상승을 위해 곧잘 싸우지만 조종이 어렵다. 이들은 규율이 서지 않았으며 매우 경솔하다. 그럼에도 불구하고 이들은 전장에서 믿을만한 존재이며 열심히 싸운다. 전장은 이들의 용기와 가치를 증명할 수 있게 해주며 적에 대한 전투대의 야만적인 돌격은 통렬하다. 이들은 각각 예리한 창과 큰 방패를 장비하고 있다.

They are not very disciplined at times, as their sense of honour and bravery can make them eager to get into any fray, but they are uniformly superb swordsmen. They are equipped with good swords and large shields.\n\nEvery warlord worth the name makes sure he has a couple of warbands of these hard men under his command.

스워드맨은 일관적으로 공격적인 전사들이다. 이들은 야만족 사령관에게 있어 가장 '뛰어난 보병(?)'이다. 이들은 비록 많은 시간을 훈련 받지는 못했지만 명예에 대한 자부심과 용맹은 그들은 어떤 곤경에도 물러서지 않게 하며(?) 이들은 하나같이 뛰어난 검사이다. 이들은 좋은 검과 큰 방패로 무장하였으며 지휘관이라면 누구나 이들은 자신의 휘하에 두고 싶어할 것이다.(?)

Personal glory and the need to be first amongst the enemy ensure that they are headstrong and ill-disciplined. They are, however, very well equipped with the finest swords that the smiths can make, along with chainmail armour and large shields. They are an intimidating sight for any enemy.

정예 검사들은 그들의 부족에서 가장 뛰어난 전사들이며 가장 좋은 검으로 무장하고 있다.  이들은 뛰어난 기술과 강인함을 가지고 있지만 독자적으로 싸우려는 경향이 강하다. 개인적인 명예와 적에 대한 분노(?)는 이들을 억제할 수 없게 만들며 규율을 흩트린다. 그럼에도 불구하고 이들은 대장장이가 만들 수 있는 가장 좋은 검과 체인메일, 큰 방패로 무장하고 있다. 이들은 적에게 가장 위협적인 존재이다.(망나니들....)

Impetuous\nHardy\nExpert at Hiding in Forests\n\nReligion and magic are powerful reasons for bravery.\n\nWoad warriors are brave fighters - and mad. They disdain armour and most clothing, preferring to paint themselves with intricate and stylised magical designs in woad (a blue dye) to deflect enemy blows and missiles. The patterns created can be elaborate and almost inhuman, and are supposed to be unnerving for enemies unused to such practices. Belief in magic also armours the woad warriors against fear, and makes them savage, dangerous and not-quite-controllable fighters. Woad warriors carry only blades and shields but it is a foolish commander indeed who underestimates their impact in battle!

종교와 마법은 용맹의 근원이 된다. 염색 전사들은 용감한 전사들이다.-(약간 미쳤다) 이들은 모든 갑옷과 대부분의 의복을 경멸하며 자신의 몸에 푸른 대청으로 기묘하고 복잡한 마법의 문장을 물들여 적의 공격과 화살이 비껴가기를 기원한다.(역시 싸이코..) 이 염색은 매우 정교하며 동시에 초인적으로 보이기 때문에 이러한 문화를 접한 적이 없는 적은 매우 당황하게 된다. 마법에 대한 믿음은 공포심을 없애주며 이들을 야만적이고 위험하며 거의 컨트롤이 불가능한 전사로 만든다. 염색 전사들은 오로지 검과 방패만 장비하고 있지만 전쟁터에서 이들을 과소평가하는 지휘관은 톡톡한 대가를 치르게 될 것이다.(활 맞고 다 죽더만....)

{druids_briton} Druids

Very Hardy\nInspires Friendly Units\nExpert at Hiding in Forests\n\nDruids are spiritual leaders with practical fighting skills who instill confidence in nearby friendly warriors. They have a religious zeal that gives them great courage and their mere presence fills nearby believers with confidence. Positioned just behind the battle line druids can also form a powerful reserve, ready to join the fray at a crucial moment.\n\nEquipped with sickle-shaped swords and small shields, the mail-clad druids are excellent fighters. Their good war gear is a reflection of their status as teachers, judges, soothsayers and the focal point of religion and magic among their people. As Celtic cultures lack a written form, they are also the memory of the tribe as well, remembering all the important facts of tribal history.\n\nHistorically, the Romans despised and then targeted these men because they practiced particularly savage forms of human sacrifice and because of their cultural importance. When a tribe's history was wiped out, it became a little easier to bend the people to the will of Rome.

정신적 지도자인 드루이드는 단지 그 존재만으로도 인근의 동료 전사들에게 자신감을 불어 넣어 준다. 그들의 종교적 열의는 신앙심을 가진 이들에게 자신감을 준다. 이들은 전장의 뒤에서 전황을 주시하다가 극적인 순간에 이들을 필요로 하는 곳으로 달려 나간다. 시클이라는 예리한 검과 작은 방패를 장비하고 있으며 메일클레이드로 무장하고 있는 드루이드는 가장 뛰어난 전사이며 이들의 뛰어난 군장은 이들의 스승으로서, 판사로서, 예언자이자 종교지도자로서 부족 내 그들의 지위를 반영하고 있다. 갈리아는 문서로 기록하는 문화가 없기 때문에 드루이드는 역사 기록의 역할도 하였는데 이들은 부족의 중요한 역사를 모두 암기하고 있었다.
역사적으로 로마인은 드루이드를 경멸하고 표적으로 삼았는데 그 이유는 이들이 인간을 산제물로 바치는 야만적인 관습을 시행하며, 갈리아 문화의 중핵이었기 때문이다. 만약 (드루이드를 제거함으로써) 그들이 부족의 과거를 잊는다면 그들을 로마에 좀더 쉽게 복종시킬 수 있을 것이기 때문이다.

전차는 갈리아 전투기술의 정점에 위치하며 효과적인 전투장비이기 때문에 전시에 부족의 지도자가 그의 보디가드와 함께 타는 것은 놀랄 일이 아니다. 단단한 갑옷을 입은 보디가드로 자신을 보호하며 혼잡한 전장에서 자신이 위대한 지도자일뿐만 아니라 위대한 전사이기도 하다는 것을 증명하는 것은 매우 중요한 일이다. 바바리안 워로드는 자신의 위치를 믿음직하게 지키며 용감하고 단호하다(?).
겁쟁이를 기꺼이 따르려는 전사는 없으며, 겁쟁이에게는 그의 형제들에게 목숨을 바치라고 요구할 권리 또한 없다(?).

Elite\nImpetuous\nFrightens Infantry\nCan Form Cantabrian Circle\n\nLight chariots are very fast, very noisy and, when used in large numbers, quite intimidating. They combine the swiftness of cavalry with the 'staying power' of infantry. The drivers concentrate on controlling the chariots, while their passengers fire arrow after arrow into the target. They can also simply charge into an enemy, perform the same scouting duties as cavalry, harass enemies with missiles and may even be worth sacrificing to break a previously unyielding enemy line. They can also be very effective in pursuing fleeing foes.

경전차는 매우 빠르고 시끄럽고, 대규모로 운용할 경우 매우 위협적이다. 이들은 기병의 날쌤과 '보병 제압력'이 잘 조화되어 있다. 전차의 운전병이 운전에 전념하는 동안 전차의 전투원들은 적에게 끊임없이 화살을 날린다. 경전차는 적을 향해 돌격할 수 있으며 기병처럼 정찰의 임무도 수행한다. 또한 화살을 쏴 적을 괴롭히며 적의 견고한 진형을 사전에 무너뜨리는데 희생(?)하기도 한다. 이들은 또한 적의 패잔병을 쫒는데도 뛰어나다.

They are shock troops, relying on speed and shock to break enemy formations.\n\nEvery man carries a fine sword, and is equipped with a good mail coat and a shield, while his chariot is pulled by two horses.\n\nThey perform the same function as heavy cavalry, charging home to cause casualties before wheeling away to launch a fresh attack. Any infantry foolish enough to stand in the way are ridden down, hacked to pieces by the rider! However, like many barbarians they can sometimes let greed for personal honour and glory lead them into attacking without orders.

중전차는 부족의 귀족들이 탄 브리튼의 엘리트 유니트이다. 이들은 충격적인 군대이며 스피드와 돌파력으로 적의 대형을 무너트린다. 이들은 좋은 검과 좋은 메일코트, 방패로 무장하고 있으며 그들의 전차는 두마리의 말이 이끈다. 그들은 중기병과 비슷한 역할을 하며
돌격할 때 그들의 바퀴로 추가적인 데미지를 입힌다. 그들의 앞을 막는 멍청한 보병들은 쓰러질 것이며 전차의 전투원에 의해 박살날 것이다. 하지만 이들은 때때로 그들의 개인적인 명예와 영광에 대한 탐욕 때문에 명령없이 전장으로 뛰쳐나갈 수 있다.

Originally bred for hunting large prey, they are now trained to hunt and attack men. Warhounds are usually unleashed on an enemy to break a line and unnerve opponents. Few men are able to stand steadily in the face of a snarling and partially-starved beast. The dogs are trained to bite and hold on, dragging down their human targets, and hamstringing horses.\n\nTheir handlers are brave, foolhardy and not easily intimidated: many have fingers, hands or even chunks of limbs missing!

바바리안 군견 브리튼  전투 사냥개

워하운드는 야성적인 본능과 거대한 덩치를 갖고 태어났다. 이들에게 사람을 사냥하는 일은 맷돼지를 사냥하는 것보다 약간 더 위험한 일일 뿐이다. 애초에 큰 사냥감을 잡기 위해 태어난 근육질의 이 짐승은 이제 사람을 사냥하고 공격하도록 훈련되었다. 이들은 적의 앞에서 달려들어 적의 진형을 무너트리고 당황케 하는데 이들의 사나운 소리와 피에 굶주린 공격을 견딜 수 있는 병사는 거의 없다. 개들은 그들의 인간 목표물을 물고 뜯고 잡아끌도록 훈련되었으며 말을 무력하게 만든다. 이들의 조련사는 용감하고 무모하며 공포에 쉽게 굴복해서는 안된다.(강심장이어야 한다는 뜻) 많은 조련사가 그들의 팔이나 다리, 손가락들을 잃기 때문이다!

해석이 안되서 그냥 대충 끼워맞춘게 많습니다. 오호호호쇼~~~

수고햐셨습니다^^ 딴지를 걸자면 nasty burn 은 심각한(짜증나는) 화상입니다. 생석회 만지면 화상 입습니다~ 뭐 이래도 헤드헐러가 판타지 유닛인 것과 생긴거에 비해 너무 강력하다는데는 변함이 없죠...(어째 생석회 바른 머리통 데미지가 어반 필룸만합니까...)

^^그렇구나~바로 수정하겠습니다.~다음은 게르만을 할 생각인데, 게르만 애들 정말 너무하군요. 유니트 설명에 온통 '제정신이 아닌', '광적인', '야만적인', '잔인한', '광신적인' 으로 가득합니다. 게르만 전사인지.. 정신병동인지....아무래도 게르만 전사 중 멀쩡한 애들은 농부정도 겠군요. 워크라이 농부...ㅜㅜ
