부처님의 방대한 유산을 기리기 위해 우리는 후원자들께서 자신들의 ‘경전 독송’을 주최하고 많은 인용된 가르침을 탐구하시길 권해드립니다.
찬드라쁘라바(Candraprabha, 月光)가 부처님께 드린 일련의 질문에 부처님께서 공성의 본질에 대해 답하신 The King of Samādhis Sūtra ( 삼마지왕경三摩地王經, 월등삼매경月燈三昧經, 팔어대비방등대집경八於大悲方等大集經, 삼매왕경三昧王經 등으로 번역되어 있음)을 독송하겠습니다.

‘경전 독송’은 84000 역경위원회가 경장 전체를 소리 내어 읽는 전통적인 승가의 수행(간경)을 따라하는
활동을 표현하기 위해 쓰는 용어입니다.
승가의 수행에서는 각 참여자들이 경전 하나를 선택하거나 경전의 일부분을 선택하여 소리내어 읽습니다. 이렇게 모두가 읽은 총합이 경장 전체가 될 때까지 읽습니다.
84000 역경위원회에서 하는 방식은 84000 경전 읽기 방(http://read.84000.co/section/lobby.html)에 업로드 된 경전의 일부분이나 역경된 경전을 함께 읽는 방식으로 진행합니다.
주어진 시간 내에 참여하는 사람들이 최대한 해당 경전을 많이 읽는 것입니다. 부처님의 말씀을 소리 내어 읽는 것은 자신에게도 이익이 될뿐만 아니라 듣는 이들에게도 이익이 있다고 합니다.
참여하시는 모든 분들이 경전 독송 장면의 사진이나 비디오를 촬영하여 - 독송하는 경전, 독송하는 곳의 불단이나 함께 독송하는 승가의 모습 등 - 곧 제작될 예정인 84000 경전 독송 사이트를 통해 공유해주시면 감사하겠습니다.

As we enter the lunar month of Saga Dawa - the month in which Buddhists around the world celebrate the birth, enlightenment, and passing of the historical Buddha, Shakyamuni - 84000 is taking a figurative page from its sūtras!
In honour of the Buddha Shakyamuni’s vast literary heritage, we encourage our supporters to host their own ‘Sūtra Resounding,’ and delve into a much-quoted teaching, The King of Samādhis Sūtra, on the nature of emptiness given by the Buddha in response to a series of questions put forth by a young layman, Candraprabha.

*A ‘Resounding’ is the term that 84000 uses to express an activity that emulates the traditional monastic practice of reading aloud the entire Kangyur. In the monastic practice, each participant of a group selects a sūtra or section of a sūtra and reads it aloud – until the entire Kangyur has been collectively read aloud. The 84000 version of this practice is the activity of collectively reading aloud translated sūtra(s) or sections of a sūtra that have been published in the 84000 Reading Room http://read.84000.co/section/lobby.html. The idea is to have as much of the sūtra(s) as possible read aloud by any number of people in the given amount of time. Reading the words of the Buddha aloud is said to benefit oneself and all those who can hear them.
We encourage all participants to document their resoundings with photos and videos - of their texts, of their shrines, of their resounding groups - and share them with 84000 through a forthcoming platform.
