Ji-Yai Shin's win at the Mizuno Classic last week was a continuation of her dominance on the worldwide golf scene. Of her 10 events this season on the LPGA Tour schedule, Shin has won twice, including her first win at the RICOH Women's British Open - a LPGA major championship. The win secured her berth in the 32-player, $1 million-to-the winner ADT Championship. She also became the first non-LPGA Tour member to win a major championship since Laura Davies won the 1987 U.S. Women's Open. Shin is the 17th non-member to win an LPGA event and the fifth-youngest major championship winner in Tour history.

On the Korea LPGA (KLPGA), Shin is a seven-time winner this season, including becoming the first player to ever sweep the season's major championships. In four events on the LPGA of Japan, Shin owns one victory and three runner-up finishes; and she recorded two top-six finishes on the Australia Ladies Professional Golf (ALPG) Tour, including a second-place finish after losing to Karrie Webb in a two-hole, sudden-death playoff.
