베란다에 앉아서
오늘을 고요히 배웅하누나
석양빛 아래서
나무들도 인사 건네는 모습 지켜봤네
꿈결인 듯 찾아와서
밝은 미소 고운 목소리 들려주던
내 가장 사랑하는 피조물
손녀의 방문은 큰 기쁨이라
베란다에 앉아서
한주일을 돌아보니
잘 왔구나 오늘까지 살아왔구나
문득 마음 놓이는
아아 고요로운 금요일 밤
어둠 속에 흘러가는 강물
보석처럼 빛나는 무엇 무엇을 품고 흘러가네
멀리서 들려오는 서두르는 자동차 소리
그리운 집으로 달려가는 소리 소리 들리네
금요일 밤이라 금요일 밤이라
애틋한 사랑이 머무는 보금자리
찾아가누나 모두들

ベランダに腰掛けて
今日という日を 静かに見送るのだな
夕焼けの光の下で
木々も挨拶を交わす姿を 見守った
夢路のように訪れて
明るい微笑み、美しい声を聴かせてくれた
私の最も愛する大切な存在
孫娘の訪問は 大きな喜びなり
ベランダに腰掛けて
一週間を振り返れば
「よくぞ歩んできたな、今日まで生きてこられたな」
ふと心が安らぐ
ああ、静穏なる金曜日の夜
暗闇の中に流れてゆく川水
宝石のように輝く 何か何かを抱いて流れてゆく
遠くから聞こえてくる 急ぎ足の車の音
恋しい我が家へと駆けてゆく 音、音が聞こえる
金曜日の夜だから、金曜日の夜だから
切ない愛が宿る 憩いのを,
訪ねてゆくのだな、
誰も,
金曜日の夜だから

Sitting on the veranda,
I quietly say goodbye to today
Beneath the glow of the sunset,
I watched the trees gently waving to each other.
Coming to me just like a beautiful dream,
Bringing your bright smile and sweet, lovely voice
My most precious little angel,
Your visit, my sweet granddaughter
brings me the greatest joy.
Sitting on the veranda,
Looking back on the week gone by,
I whisper, "You've done well, you've safely made it to this day."
Suddenly, my heart fills with peace.
Ah, what a beautiful, quiet Friday night.
The river flowing through the darkness
Carries something, something shining just like a jewel
Hurrying car sounds heard from far away,
The sound, the sound of everyone rushing back to their sweet homes.
Because it is Friday night, because it is Friday night,
To the cozy home where warm love always waits,
Everyone is finding their way back home
Because it is Friday night.
