the 2006 Kennedy Center Honors, and the 2008 Classic Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.

브라이트만과 웨버 모두 기혼임에도........ 웨버는 '캣츠'에 출연하던 사라 브라이트만과 사랑에 빠진다.웨버는 첫째 부인과 이혼하고 브라이트만과 결혼한다(1884년).
이후 브라이트만은 웨버의 신작 '오페라의 유령'에서 크리스틴 다에역으로 유명세를 얻는데 성공하지만,둘은 이혼하게 된다(1990년).
두 사람이 이혼할 즈음 오페라의 유령을 뮤지컬 영화로 제작하기 위한 논의가 오가던 중이었는데,이혼 때문에 영화화는 무산되고 말았다.그 후 브라이트만은 웨버의 생일 콘서트에 출연하였고 오페라의 유령 25주년 공연에도 등장했는데, 웨버가 직접 '나의 음악의 천사'라고 소개하기도 하였다.
