<무뎌진 칼>
제사장의 칼
짐승의 목을 따고,
가죽을 벗기며,
정강이를 자르고,
각을 떠 제단에 올리는 도구.
칼이 무디면
제사장의 사역은 불가능.
예리하고 날 선 검,
제사장의 필수품.
제사장은
하나님의 대리자와
백성의 대변자.
하나님의 권위로
백성의 죄를 용서하고,
축복하는 대리자.
칼이 예리해야
제사를 통해서만 가능.
반면 대속의 희생을 드리는
백성의 대변자
제사를 드릴 수 있는
칼이 예리해야만 가능.
신령과 진정의 예배는
말씀의 칼이 예리해야 가능.
사죄와 구원의 은총은
말씀에 순종하여
십자가의 능력으로만.
말씀이 없으면
사죄도 없고 구원도 없다.
주님은
말씀이 육신으로 오신 분
말씀은 곧 칼 (히브리서 4:12).
혼과 영, 관절과 골수를 찔러 쪼개며,
교만, 욕심, 음란과 같은
죄악의 뿌리를 도려낸다.
죄악의 본성은 죽고,
성령의 새 사람으로,
그리스도의 인격으로 변화된다.
나는 초등3학년 때부터 지게질.
들에서 퇴비 풀을 베던 중
낫에 베인 왼손 검지.
그 흉터에
재작년 12월, 작업 중 또다시
날카로운 전동 칼에 베었다.
칼날이 예리했기에-
그 칼의 모습 평생 어른거린다.
사방에
말씀은 난무한데
은혜도 없고, 감동도 없고,
회개도 없고, 감사도 없고,
양심도 없다.
말씀이 무뎌졌기에-
고아와 과부,
나그네와 병든 자,
옥에 갇힌 자들,
화재로 삶터를 잃은 자들,
지진으로 가족을 잃은 자들-
속옷을 달라 하면 겉옷까지,
오리를 같이 가자하면 십리를-
그러나
피리를 불어도 춤추지 않고,
애곡해도 가슴을 치지 않는 세대 (마 11:17).
우이독경(牛耳讀經).
말씀에 미동도 없다.
말씀이 죽었는가?
양심이 화인을 맞았는가?
행함 없는 믿음은 죽은 믿음.
“원수가 넘어질 때 즐거워하지 말며,
엎드러질 때 기뻐하지 말라” (잠언 24:17).

<The Dull Blade>
The priest's knife,
A tool for cutting off the head of an animal,
skinning it,
cutting off the shins,
and cutting it into pieces and putting it on the altar.
If the knife is dull,
the priest's work is impossible.
A sharp and sharp sword,
an essential for a priest.
The priest is
God's representative and
the people's spokesman.
A representative who forgives the people's sins and blesses them with God's authority.
The sword must be sharp,
and this is possible only through sacrifice.
And the representative of the people who offers the atonement sacrifice,
and the sword that can offer the sacrifice must be sharp.
Worship in spirit and truth is
possible only when the sword of the Word is sharp.
The grace of forgiveness and salvation
comes only through obedience to the Word
and through the power of the cross.
Without the Word
there is no forgiveness and no salvation.
The Lord is
the Word made flesh.
The word is a sword (Hebrews 4:12).
It cuts soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and cuts out the roots of sin, such as pride, greed, and sexual immorality.
The sinful nature dies,
and we are transformed into the new man of the Spirit,
into the person of Christ.
I have been carrying a load since I was in the third grade of elementary school.
While cutting compost grass in the field,
my left index finger was cut by a sickle.
On that scar,
In December of the year before last, while working,
I cut it again with a sharp electric knife.
Because the blade was sharp-
That image haunted me my whole life.
There are words everywhere, but there is no grace, no emotion, no repentance, no gratitude, and no conscience. Because the words have become dull-
Orphans and widows,
strangers and the sick,
those in prison,
those who have lost their homes to fires,
those who have lost their families to earthquakes-
“If they ask for underwear, give them outerwear,”
“and if they ask you to walk one mile with them, go two miles with them.”
“but a generation that will not dance when the flute is played,
and will not beat its breasts when it mourns” (Matthew 11:17).

There is no movement in the word.
Is the word dead?
Is the conscience seared?
Faith without works is dead faith.
“Do not gloat when your enemy falls;
do not let your heart rejoice when he stumbles.” (Proverbs 24:17)
