존 베일리의 기도 (10일 저녁):
당신의 사랑과 자비가 전해지는 통로가 되게 하옵소서

전능하시고 영원하신 축복의 하나님, 오늘도 나의 삶에 사랑으로 함께 하신 것을 감사합니다. 하나님께서 나의 마음속에 거룩한 진리를 알게 하시고 은혜 가운데서 이끄신 것을 감사합니다. 주님의 성령의 인도하심에 대한 모든 증거와 또 내가 당한 모든 일들을 비록 그 때에는 우연한 것으로 여겼으나 지나고 보니 그것은 내 영혼을 가르치기 위한 주님의 은혜로운 계획 중의 한 부분이었다는 것을 알게 하시니 감사를 드립니다. 나로 하여금 주님의 인도를 거절하거나 주님께서 나의 마음에 밝혀주신 빛을 끄지 않게 하시고, 나로 하여금 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 은혜와 그 지식에서 매일 자라나게 해 주소서.
나는 지금 당신의 임재를 구하며, 단지 혼자만이라 생각하거나 나 자신만을 위해서 기도하지 않습니다. 나는 당신 앞에서 당신의 도움을 필요로 하는 형제, 자매들을 기억합니다.
오늘 밤 특별히 생각하며 기도합니다.
무거운 시험에 직면하고 있는 사람들
가진 능력에 비해서 너무나 큰 과제에 직면한 사람들
결단의 골짜기에 서 있는 사람들
빚을 지거나 가난 중에 있는 사람들
회개 하였으나 오래 전에 잘못된 행동의 결과로 고통을 당하는 사람들
어릴 때의 환경 때문에 삶 속에서 정당한 기회를 갖지 못한 사람들
죽음에 의해 깨어진 가족의 관계들
저 먼 곳에서 사역하는 선교사들
고독한 장소에서 진리의 등불을 높이든 사람들
그리고 ....와 .....와 .......를 생각하며 위하여 기도합니다.
모든 인류의 아버지시여, 나로 하여금 당신의 신적인 사랑과 자비가 가까이 있는 사람들의 마음과 삶에 전해지는 통로가 되게 하옵소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도하옵나이다. 아멘
Almighty and ever-blessed God, I thank Thee for the love wherewith Thou dost follow me all the days of my life. I thank Thee that Thou dost inform my mind with Thy divine truth and undergird my will with Thy divine grace. I thank Thee for every evidence of Thy Spirit's leading, and for all those little happenings which, though seeming at the time no more than chance, yet afterwards appear to me as part of Thy gracious plan for the education of my soul. O let me not refuse Thy leading or quench this light which Thou hast kindled within me, but rather let me daily grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ my Lord and Master.
Yet I would not think only of myself or pray only for myself, as now I seek Thy presence. I would remember before Thee all my human brothers and sisters who need Thy help. Especially to-night I think—
of those who are faced by great temptations;
of those who are faced by tasks too great for their powers;
of those who stand in any valley of decision;
of those who are in debt of poverty;
of those who are suffering the consequences of misdeeds long ago repented of;
of those who, by reason of early surroundings, have never had a fair chance in life;
of all family circles broken by death;
of all missionaries of the Kingdom of heaven in far-away corners of the earth;
of those who lift high the lamp of truth in lonely places;
of those who .... and .... and ....
Dear Father of mankind, make me the human channel, so far as in me lies, through which Thy divine love and pity may reach the hearts and lives of a few of those who are nearest to me. Amen.
