기쁨으로 여호와를 섬겨라.—시 100:2.
여호와의 백성인 우리가 사람들에게 전파하는 이유는 무엇입니까? 하늘에 계신 아버지를 사랑하고 사람들이 그분에 대해 알도록 돕고 싶기 때문입니다. 하지만 봉사가 즐겁지 않다고 느끼는 전도인들도 있습니다. 이유가 무엇입니까? 어떤 사람들은 수줍음이 많고 자신감이 부족할지 모릅니다. 또는 초대받지 않고 사람들의 집에 찾아가는 것을 부담스러워하는 사람도 있습니다. 그런가 하면 거절당할까 봐 두려움을 느끼는 사람도 있고, 남들과 가급적 마찰을 일으키지 말아야 한다고 배운 사람도 있습니다. 이 형제자매들은 낯선 사람들에게 좋은 소식을 전하는 것에 어려움을 느낍니다. 당신도 앞서 언급한 이유들 때문에 때때로 봉사가 즐겁지 않다고 느낍니까? 그렇다 하더라도 실망하지 마십시오. 자신감이 부족하다면, 그것은 당신이 자신에게 주의를 끌고 싶어 하지 않는 겸손한 사람이기 때문일 수 있습니다. 또한 논쟁에 휘말리는 것을 좋아하지 않기 때문일지 모릅니다. 그리고 거절당하는 것을 좋아하는 사람은 아무도 없습니다. 특히 다른 사람을 도와주려고 하다가 거절을 당하면 더 실망스러울 것입니다. 하늘에 계신 아버지께서는 당신이 겪는 어려움을 잘 아시며 필요한 도움을 주고 싶어 하십니다.
반론: 오늘날 증인들이 하는 전도 봉사는 예수의 명령에 따르는 전도가 아니다. 그들의 전도 봉사의 목적은 증인 조직의 확장에 있다. 증인 조직을 확장하여 새로운 전도인들을 모으고 결국은 그들이 하는 헌금으로 부를 축척하는 것이다.
증인 조직을 인도하는 중앙장로회는 탐욕적인 사람들이며 돈을 열렬히 사랑하는 자들이다. 그들은 정직한 자들이 아니다. 생각해 보자! 성경의 기록을 보면 하나님과 언약을 맺고 선택한 이스라엘 백성들에 대한 기록이 상세하게 기술되어 있다.
축복과 저주를 가감없이 기록하였다. 그들이 하나님께 순종했을 때는 축복을 , 반대의 경우에는 저주를 하였다. 그 결과 전쟁에서 승리하기도 하고 패배하기도 하였다. 노아는 의로운 사람이라고 설명하고 있지만 그도 술에 취하여 실수를 하였다는 것을 기록하고 있다.
다윗도 우리아의 아내인 뱃세바와 부도덕한 관계를 맺었다고 기술하고 있다. 예수의 조상이며 다윗의 뿌리임을 자랑하는 왕의 계통의 수장도 잘못된 일을 저질렀음을 알려준다.
그런데 증인 조직을 인도하는 중장회는 어떠한가? 그들은 그들의 잘못을 인정하거나 실수를 고백하는가? 그런 일은 없다. 그들은 때에 대한 변경을 여러차례 하였지만 한 번도 잘못했다고 시인하지 않았다.
증인 조직의 창시자인 러셀을 비롯하여 그 후에 협회장이 된 사람들도, 지금의 중장회들도 모두 잘못을 시인하거나 회개하는 말을 들어보지 못하였다. 그들은 뻔뻔한 자들이며 회개할 줄 모르는 자들이다. 그래서 지금도 거짓말로 증인들을 속이고 있다.
거짓말의 역사는 러셀 시대부터 지금까지 약 150년을 이어오고 있다. 예를들면 정직한 조직이라면 강릉 대회장을 21억 4천 만원에 신천지 종교 조직에 팔았다고 전도인들에게 알려야 한다.
그런데 이미 오래 전에 강릉 대화장을 신천지 종교에 매도했으면서도 지금까지 전도인들에게 알리지 않고 있다. 이것이 과연 증인들을 사랑하는 조직의 태도인가? 강릉 대회장을 건축할 때는 온갖 감언이설로 필요성을 강조하여 어린이들의 코 묻은 돈까지 헌금하게 하였는데....
팔 때는 아무런 말도 없이 팔아버리고 아직까지도 증인들에게 알려주지 않는다. 이런 종교는 참 조직이 될수 없으며 참 종교가 될수 없다. 돈에 미친 종교이며 전도인들을 돈으로 보는 이기적인 집단이다. 증인 조직의 근본을 보는 것이다.
이기적인 조직이며 탐욕적인 조직임을 스스로 밝히는 것이다. 이미 여러차례 설명했지만 예수께서 일세기 제자들에게 전파하라고 명령하신 것은 일세기 제자들에 의해서 "온 땅"을 의미하는 일세기 당시의 제국이었던 로마가 지배하던 온 땅에 전파되었다.
로마서 10장 18절이다. "그러나 내가 말하노니 그들이 듣지 아니하였느냐 그렇지 아니하니 그 소리가 온 땅에 퍼졌고 그 말씀이 땅 끝까지 이르렀도다 하였느니라" 바울은 기원 65년 경에 이렇게 선언하였다.
그리고 나서 하나님과 이스라엘 백성간에 맺어진 율법 언약은 끝이 났으며 하나님은 인간사에 더는 개입할 이유가 사라졌다. 이것이 예수께서 말씀하신 세상 끝이었다. (마24;1~3) 그리고 지상에서 숭배를 받았던 예루살렘 성전을 멸망하고 하늘에 하나님의 나라를 완성하셨다. (계21:22)
따라서 지금, 증인 조직을 비롯하여 종교에서 전도를 하는 것은 예수의 명령과는 아무런 관련이 없는 것들이며 인간이 만든 종교를 확장하려는 꼼수이다. 신자들의 수를 늘리고 헌금을 강조하여 회관을 건축하고 전도인 수가 줄어들면 회중을 통폐합하여 남아도는 회관을 팔고 그 돈은 미국 본부로 가져가는 것이다.
이런 돈벌이를 하기 위해서 종교를 만들고 전도를 시키는 것이다. 일종의 앵벌이 일을 하는 자들이 종교인들이다. 그들은 이러한 기가 막힐 일을 모르고 그냥 중장회가 시키는 대로 전도를 하는 것이다. 그것이 예수의 명령이라고 잘못 생각하기 때문이다.
그래서 지금도 길거리에서 전시대를 두고 전도를 하고 있다. 말을 걸거나 말을 하지도 않으면서 그냥 20분씩 교대로 허수아비처럼 서 있는 것이다. 그리고 그것을 봉사라고 봉사 보고를 한다. 한 달에 몇 시간을 했다고 자랑하며 뿌뜻함을 느낀다.
한심한 자들이며 생각이 없는 자들이다. 이제 정신을 차려야 한다. 하나님과 예수는 예루살렘 성전에서 숭배를 받던 장소인 성전을 불태워바렸다. 철저하게 멸망하였다 지금은 이슬람 돔 사원이 그 자리를 차지하고 있다.
지상에서 숭배를 받지 않겠다는 굳은 의지의 표현 이었다. 그리고 하늘에 하나님의 나라에서 영으로 부활된 자들에 의해서 찬양을 받고 있다. 하나님이나 예수가 만들지 않고 탐욕적인 인간이 만든 종교로부터 해방되어야 한다.

Serve Jehovah with joy--Psalm 100:2.
Why do we, Jehovah's people, spread it to the people? It is because we love our Father in heaven and we want to help people know about him. But there are evangelists who find service unpleasant. Why? Some people may be shy and lack confidence. Or there are people who feel burdened by visiting people's homes without being invited. And no one likes being rejected. It would be even more disappointing, especially if you are refused while trying to help others. Father in heaven knows the difficulties you are going through and wants to give you the help you need.
