만일 여러분 중에 누구든지 지혜가 부족하거든 ··· 하느님께 계속 청하십시오.—야고보 1:5.
여호와께서는 우리에게 그분이 기뻐하실 결정이 무엇인지 분별하는 지혜를 주겠다고 약속하십니다. 그분은 그러한 지혜를 “모든 사람에게 관대하게 주시고 꾸짖지 않으십니다.” 여호와께 기도로 인도를 구했다면 그분의 응답을 분별하기 위해 세심하게 주의를 기울여야 합니다. 예를 들어 보겠습니다. 여행 중에 길을 잃었다면 그 지역에 사는 사람에게 길을 물을 것입니다. 하지만 그러고 나서 그 사람의 대답을 듣지 않고 그냥 가 버리겠습니까? 물론 그러지 않을 것입니다. 아마 그 사람의 설명을 주의 깊이 들을 것입니다. 그와 마찬가지로 여호와께 지혜를 청했다면 자신의 상황에 적용되는 성경의 법과 원칙을 찾아 봄으로 그분의 응답을 분별하기 위해 노력하십시오. 예를 들어 특정한 사교 모임에 참석할지를 결정해야 한다면, 성경에서 흥청거리는 파티나 나쁜 교제에 대해 무엇이라고 알려 주는지 고려하는 것이 좋을 것입니다. 그리고 성경에서 자신이 좋아하는 것보다 왕국을 앞자리에 두라고 했다는 것도 고려할 수 있습니다.

실수도 하고 실패도 하고 성공도 하면서 스스로 깨우치고 배워야 한다. 실수와 실패는 인생의 여정에서 뼈가 아픈 교훈이다. 그러나 거기에서 무언가를 배웠다면 성공한 실수와 실패이다. 하지만 배우지 못한 실패는 인생을 망치는 길이며 구렁텅이로 빠지는 실패이다.
바둑을 두는 기사들은 복기를 한다. 다시 한번 처음부터 놓아보고 어디서 잘못 했는지를 검토한다. 착지점이 왜 나빴는지, 그러면 어디에 착지를 해야 좋았는지를 검토하는 것이다. 이런 복기를 통하여 바둑 실력이 일취월장하는 것이다.
실수는 지혜를 배우는 과정이다. 인생도 마찬가지이다. 항상 좋은 일만 있을수도 없고 항상 나쁜 일만 발생하지도 않는다. 선과 악이, 성공과 실패가 공존하고 있다. 그 과정에서 인간은 배워야 한다. 그것이 인생이고 인생 공부가 된다.
그렇게 할 때 미래의 인생은 실패의 인생이 아니라 성공의 인생이 되는 것이다. 중장회는 실패를 통하여도 배우지 않는다. 그들은 고집불통이며 반성하지 않기 때문이다. 중장회의 역사는 거짓말의 역사이며 거짓말의 역사는 증인들의 역사이다.
러셀은 1914년에 하늘에 간다고 하였다. 실패하였다. 그는 1916년에 죽었다. 그 후에도 1925년에 아브라함이 이 땅에서 부활한다고 하였다. 그 예언도 실패하였다. 그렇게 예언한 러드포드도 죽었다. 1975년에 아마겟돈이 온다고 또 예언을 하였다. 그렇게 예언한 협회장도 죽었다.
모두가 거짓 예언이었으며 거짓 예언자들은 모두가 죽었다. 하나님은 이렇게 경고 하셨다. 예례미야 14장 14절이다. "여호와께서 내게 이르시되 선지자들이 내 이름으로 거짓 예언을 하도다 나는 그들을 보내지 아니하였고 그들에게 명령하거나 이르지 아니하였거늘 그들이 거짓 계시와 점술과 헛된 것과 자기 마음의 거짓으로 너희에게 예언하는도다"
여호와의 이름으로 거짓 예언을 하는 중장회를 하나님은 보내지도 않았고 예언을 하라고 명령하지도 않았다고 하였다. 그들은 거짓 계시와 헛된 것과 자기 마음의 거짓으로 거짓 예언을 하고 있는 것이다.
성경의 말씀을 사사로이 해석하고 기존 내용에 다른 내용을 덧붙이기도 하고 빼기도 하였다. 그렇게 예언의 결과는 거짓 예언이 되었다. 하나님의 말씀은 살아있고 운동력이 있다. 날카로운 양면의 칼처럼 사용해야 한다.
그런데 성경의 내용에 무지한 중장회는 성경을 무디고 녹슨 칼로 절단하고 있다. 그런 썩어빠진 칼로는 날카로운 성경의 말씀을 이해하지 못한다. 그들은 지혜가 없기 때문이다. 그들은 우둔한 자이며 지혜를 구하지도 않는다.
고집불통이며 무엇이 잘못 되었는지에 대해서 연구 조사하지 않기 때문이다. 그들은 겸손하지 못하기 때문이다. 교만이 보초를 서고 있다. 지혜의 근본은 겸손이다. 무엇인가를 배우려고 노력하고 무엇이 잘못 되었는지에 대해서 연구나 검토를 하지 않기 때문이다.
그래서 지혜가 없는 것이다. 한 번 예언의 실패는 인정할수 있다. 그러나 두 번, 그리고 세 번의 실패는 실수가 아니라 고의적이며 허무맹랑한 예언이라고 할수 있다. 중장회는 더 겸손해야 한다. 더 낮추어야 한다.
과거에 실패한 예언에 대해서 사과를 하고 조직을 해체해야 한다. 조직을 해체할 생각이 없으니까 실패를 인정하지 않는 것이다. 죽을 때까지 증인들을 이용하겠다는 생각이다. 증인들에게 거짓을 예언하고 죽을 때까지 조직에 몸담게 하고 그들이 헌금하는 돈으로 잘 먹고 잘 살겠다는 것이다.
호와로운 생활을 즐기다가 죽겠다는 것이다. 이런 이기적인 생각이 머리에 가득하기 때문에 중장회는 실패를 인정하지 않는다. 그 결과는 지혜가 없으며 계속해서 거짓말만 하는 것이다. 참으로 무식한 자들이다.
그들은 성경에 대한 지식도 없으며 지혜도 없다. 맹인들이며 맹인이 맹인을 인도하여 증인 조직 전체가 구렁텅이에 빠져 있다. 교만하고 겸손하지 못한 중장회가 인도하는 증인 조직에서 해방되어야 한다.

If any of you lack wisdom, ·· Keep asking God. —Jagobo 1:5.
Jehovah promises to give us wisdom to discern what decisions he will be pleased with. He will "be generous to everyone and will not scold them."
