Based on the lecture delivered over the course of one hour
at the Ohio seminar in the United States on October 26, 2025,
this is a written reflection in which Instructor Lisa organized her own thoughts and understanding.
In Lisaโs words, the most essential points of training are clearly expressed.
She does not demand special experiences,
does not attempt to create mystery,
but instead shows a humble attitude of accepting the fact that nature is always alive and constantly at work.
This reflects a very deep level of understanding,
and at the same time, it represents the most correct starting point.
Many people, when training, try to feel something more,
or attempt to define themselves as special beings.
However, true growth begins
in the opposite direction.
As Lisa herself expressed,
it is okay if some things remain unexplained,
and it is okay if one has not yet reached a certain point.
The ability to wait without attachment
is, in itself, already the posture of a mature practitioner.
This attitude is not about knowledge,
but about how one faces life,
and it arises not from words,
but from the alignment of body and mind.
Every practitioner has
their own pace and their own timing.
Some may feel it now,
some may not yet understand,
and some may pass through their entire lives quietly.
All of these processes are valid.
What matters is not the desire to move ahead of others,
but to move in step with nature.
Training does not exist
to make us special.
It exists to make daily life clearer,
life more stable,
and people more humble.
May everyone standing on this path
avoid impatience,
avoid comparison,
and be able to return fully to their own lives.
That is
the deepest and the longest-lasting form of training.
Below, I would like to share the key points from the two documents Lisa sent, summarizing their essential content.
โ First Document
The first document presents Lisaโs overall reflections on the Lorain, Ohio seminar held in October 2025.
Although written in the form of words of gratitude,
it contains the core principles of Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu training, expressed in highly condensed language.
This training is not about becoming more skillful in technique,
but about understanding nature and living in unity with it.
The harmony of body and mind does not end in the dojang;
it must inevitably continue into everyday life.
For this reason, one single principle is repeatedly emphasized:
Follow the Energy.
Here, โenergyโ does not mean force, technique, or concentration,
but rather the way nature itself operates.
This document answers not the question,
โWhich martial art is performed well?โ
but instead,
โHow should one live through training?โ
โ Second Document
The second document is a core summary that organizes the lecture content in a clear, structured manner.
Its significance lies in the fact that it is not a personal impression,
but a precise understanding of the logic and flow of the teaching.
All explanations begin with the flow of energy,
and martial arts, healing, and life are never separate.
Form and technique are only a small part;
most of what matters belongs to the invisible flow and order.
Martial arts serve as a bridge between these two worlds.
Nature does not move in straight lines,
but through rotation, vibration, and inclination.
The center is not a fixed point,
but a continuously adjusting balance point.
This is the common root of movement, healing, and practical application.
Kimu training does not refer to a trance state or religious escapism,
but to a state of letting go of personal intention
and allowing the body to follow the order of nature.
The statement,
โMy body is not mine, and even the energy is not mine,โ
clearly reveals the core of this training.
The lecture also delivers a clear warning:
do not chase mystical experiences,
and do not attempt to become a special being.
All such attachments ultimately damage life itself.
True training is
returning once again to ordinary daily life.
Taken together, these two documents clearly show
why Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu training is
deep without creating mysticism,
and able to reach the essence without being dangerous.
