■ When the student is ready, training moves beyond understanding and is completed through the body

There is an old saying: when the student is ready, the master appears.
Over the past month, I’ve been deliberately putting my thoughts on Haedong Kumdo into the world — not to teach, but to question, reflect, connect, and seek a deeper understanding.

That path has led me back into direct contact with Grandmaster Kim Jeong Seong.
In a brief exchange, he pointed me toward the path ahead, lessons to be learned, the essence — not only of martial training, but of human life itself — and toward the responsibility of embodying that understanding through the body.
For that guidance, I am sincerely grateful.
I remain committed to learning with an open mind — willing to be challenged, to unlearn, and to adjust my course when necessary.

나아가 그 이해를 ‘몸을 통해 구현해야 하는 책임’에 대해 짚어 주셨습니다.

그 지도에 진심으로 감사드립니다.
저는 계속해서 열린 마음으로 배우고자 합니다.

도전받는 것을 두려워하지 않고, 필요하다면 내려놓고, 방향을 조정할 준비가 되어 있습니다.

이 지식을 진정으로 이해하고, 몸에 흡수하여 실제 수련으로 옮기기까지는 시간이 필요할 것입니다.

그 과정에서 최선을 다할 것임을 알고 있습니다.

True understanding always takes time.
What matters is not how quickly one grasps an idea, but whether the body and mind are willing to remain honest throughout the process.
Questioning, reflecting, and being willing to adjust one’s direction are signs of sincerity, not uncertainty.
When training moves beyond imitation and enters responsibility, the path naturally becomes clearer.
Martial arts are not completed through explanation.
They are completed when understanding is quietly embodied in daily movement, attitude, and life itself.
Continue steadily.
Do not rush, and do not decorate the path.
Let the body confirm‎ what the mind begins to understand.
That is enough.
