9-3.
何以故 欲令菩薩 於諸衆生 增長大悲 有所聞法 卽自開解 不由他敎故.
무슨 까닭인가. 보살들로 하여금 중생에 대하여 대비심을 증장케 하며, 법을 듣고는 스스로 이해하고 다른 이의 가르침을 말미암지 않게 하려는 연고니라.
What is the reason? To cause enlightening beings to increase great compassion toward sentient beings, and to immediately understand whatever teachings they hear without relying on the instruction of another.

to increase great compassion; 대비심을 증장케 하며
teachings they hear; 법을 듣고는
