The Dharma Nature Verse (Beopseong-gye)
The nature of all things (Dharma Nature) is complete, harmonious, and non-dual.
All things are fundamentally unmoving and originally serene.
It is beyond all limits, having no name and no form.
It is known only by enlightened wisdom, not by ordinary thought.
The True Nature is extremely deep, subtle, and profound.
Things are accomplished by conditions or affinities, not by the true nature .
The All is in the One, and the One is in the Many.
The One is the All, and the Many is the One.
A single, minute particle holds the entire world, and all other particles do the same.
Immeasurable time is a single moment, and a single moment is immeasurable time.
All of time—past, present, and future—are mutually connected, yet they are not mixed up, but each is distinctly and separately established.
The very moment one first arouses the Bodhi-mind (resolve for enlightenment), one immediately attains Perfect Awakening. Thus, Saṃsāra (Birth and Death) and Nirvāṇa (Liberation) are always in perfect harmony.“
Truth and reality are not separate, so there are no distinctions. This is the state of great beings like the Buddhas and Samantabhadra.
Entering the deep ocean-like peace, they freely create endless worlds without limit.
Treasures rain down from the sky to help all beings, yet people gain only according to their own capacity.
Therefore, the practitioner returns to the Ultimate Reality.
Even if they try not to stop their delusions,
how can they stop something that never existed?
With a free and skillful mind, they find the precious jewel. Returning to their true nature, they find spiritual nourishment that fits them perfectly.
With the inexhaustible treasures of Dharani, they adorn the true palace of the Dharma Realm.
Ultimately, seated on the true Middle Way, they have remained unmoved since the beginning. This is what is named 'Buddha’
