49 But all those who knew him, including the women who had followed him from Galilee, stood at a distance, watching these things.
갈릴리에서부터 그를 따랐던 여자들을 포함하여 그를 알았던 모든 자들은 이러한 일들을 바라보며 먼거리에서 서있었다.
50 Now there was a man named Joseph, a member of the Council, a good and upright man,
산헤드린 공의회 회원 중에 하나인 선하고 정직한 사람인 요셉이라는 이름의 한 사람이 있었다.
51 who had not consented to their decision and action.
그는 그들(산헤드린 공회 회원들)의 결정과 행동에 동의하지 않았다.
He came from the Judean town of Arimathea, and he himself was waiting for the kingdom of God.
그는 아리마대에 있는 유대인 마을에서 왔으며 하나님의 나라를 기다리고 있었다.
52 Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus’ body. 빌라도에게 가서 그는 예수의 몸(시신)을 요청했다.
53 Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen cloth and placed it in a tomb cut in the rock, one in which no one had yet been laid.
그때 그는 그것(시신)을 취하여 린넨천으로 싸서 어떤 시신도 놓은 적이 없던 바위를 깎아서 만든 무덤에 그 시신을 놓았다.
54 It was Preparation Day, and the Sabbath was about to begin.
안식일의 준비 일이었고 안식일이 막 시작되려 하고 있었다.
55 The women who had come with Jesus from Galilee followed Joseph and saw the tomb and how his body was laid in it.
갈릴리에서 예수와 함께 왔던 그 여자들은 요셉을 따라 그 무덤을 보고 그의 시신이 어떻게 놓여 졌는지 보려고 왔다.
56 Then they went home and prepared spices and perfumes. 그때 그들은 집으로 가서 향품을 준비했다.
But they rested on the Sabbath in obedience to the commandment.
그러나 그들은 계명에 순종하여 안식일에 쉬었다.
