6:32 Jesus said to them, 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다.
"I tell you the truth, 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니
it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven,
하늘에서 내려오는 빵(떡)을 너희에게 준 자는 모세가 아니다.
but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven.
그러나 하늘에서 내려온 참된 빵(떡)을 너희에게 준자는 내 아버지이시다.
6:33 For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."
하나님의 빵(떡)은 하늘에서 내려왔으며 세상에 생명을 주는 자이다.
6:34 "Sir," they said, "from now on give us this bread."
"선생님, 지금부터 우리에게 이 빵을 주십시오." 라고 그들이 말했다.
6:35 Then Jesus declared, 그때 예수께서 선언하셨다.
"I am the bread of life. 내가 생명의 빵(떡)이다.
He who comes to me will never go hungry, 내게로 오는 자는 절대로 굶주리지 않을 것이며
and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. 나를 믿는 자는 절대로 목마르지 않을 것이다.
6:36 But as I told you, 그러나 내가 너희에게 말했던 것처럼
you have seen me and still you do not believe. 너희는 나를 보았으나 여전히 믿지 않는다.
6:37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, 아버지께서 내게 주신 모든 자는 내게로 올 것이며
and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 내게로 오는 자는 누구든지 내가 쫓아내지 않을 것이다.
6:38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will
나는 내 뜻을 행하러 하늘로부터 내려오지 않았으나
but to do the will of him who sent me. 나를 보내신 그분의 뜻을 행하려고 (왔다.)
6:39 And this is the will of him who sent me, 이것이 나를 보내신 그분의 뜻이다.
that I shall lose none of all that he has given me,
그가 내게 주셨던 자들 중에 어떤 자도 잃어버리지 않을 것이며
but raise them up at the last day. 마지막 날에 그들을 살릴 것이다.
6:40 For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him
내 아버지의 뜻은 아들을 바라보고 그를 믿는 모든 자가
shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day."
영생을 얻을 것이며, 나는 그를 마지막 날에 살릴 것이다.
6:41 At this the Jews began to grumble(투덜대다, 불평하다) about him
이에 유대인들은 그에 대하여 불평하기(투덜대기) 시작했다.
because he said, "I am the bread that came down from heaven."
왜냐하면 그가 "나는 하늘로부터 내려왔던 빵(떡)이다."라고 말했기 때문이다.
