4:1 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead,
산자와 죽은 자를 심판하실 하나님과 그리스도 예수의 존전에서
and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge:
그의 나타나심과 그의 왕국의 관점에서 나는 너에게 이 책임을 준다.
4:2 Preach the Word; 말씀을 선포(설교)하라.
be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction.
때를 얻든지 못 얻든지 준비하고, 크게 인내심을 가지고 주의 깊은 가르침으로, 바로잡고, 꾸짖고, 격려하라.
4:3 For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine.
건전한 교리를 사람들이 더 이상 참지 못할 때가 올 것이다.
Instead, to suit their own desires, 그 대신에 그들 자신의 욕망에 맞게
they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 그들은 가려운 귀가 듣기를 원하는 것을 말하려는 많은 수의 선생들을 주변에 모을 것이다.
4:4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
그들은 진리에서 귀를 돌려 신화들에 눈을 돌릴 것이다.
4:5 But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.
그러나 너는 모든 상황에서 정신을 차리고, 고난을 견디며, 전도자의 일을 하고, 너의 사역의 모든 의무를 다하라.
4:6 For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure. 나는 이미 전제와 같이 부어지고 내가 떠날 시간이 왔다.
4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
나는 선한 싸움을 싸우고 경주를 마쳤으며 믿음을 지켰다.
4:8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--
의로운 심판자이신 주님께서 그 날에 내게 상을 베푸실 의의 면류관을 나를 위해 준비된 것이 있다.
and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
그러나 나에게 뿐만 아니라 그의 나타나심을 열망하는 모든 자에게 또한 그렇다.
4:9 Do your best to come to me quickly, 속히 내게 오도록 너의 최선을 다하라
4:10 for Demas, because he loved this world, has deserted me and has gone to Thessalonica.
데마는 이 세상을 사랑했기 때문에 나를 버리고 데살로니가로 갔다.
Crescens has gone to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia.
그레스게는 갈라디아로 갔고 디도는 달마디아로 갔다.
4:11 Only Luke is with me. 오직 누가만 나와 함께 있다.
Get Mark and bring him with you, 마가를 데리고 오라
because he is helpful to me in my ministry.
왜냐하면 그는 내 사역에 도움이 되기 때문이다.
