7:1 So the king and Haman went to dine(저녁식사하러) with Queen Esther,
그래서 왕과 하만은 에스더 왕비와 함께 저녁 식사를 하러 갔다.
7:2 and as they were drinking wine on that second day,
그리고 그들이 두번째 날에 포도주를 마시고 있었을 때
the king again asked, "Queen Esther, what is your petition? It will be given you.
왕이 다시 "왕비 에스더여, 너의 간구가 무엇인가? 내가 그것을 너에게 줄 것이다.
What is your request? 너의 요청이 무엇인가?
Even up to half the kingdom, it will be granted." 왕국의 반이라도 너에게 주어질 것이다.
7:3 Then Queen Esther answered, 그 때 왕비 에스더가 대답했다.
"If I have found favor with you, O king, and if it pleases your majesty,
왕이시여, 제가 왕의 은총을 입었고 왕의 기뻐하심을 받았다면,
grant me my life--this is my petition. 내게 내 생명을 허락하소서, 이것이 나의 간청입니다.
And spare my people--this is my request. 그리고 내 백성들을 아껴주소서. 이것이 나의 간청입니다.
7:4 For I and my people have been sold for destruction and slaughter and annihilation.
나와 내 백성은 파괴와 학살과 멸망을 위해 팔렸습니다.
If we had merely been sold as male and female slaves, 만일 우리가 단지 남종과 여종으로 팔렸다면
I would have kept quiet, 나는 조용히하고 있었을 것입니다.
because no such distress would justify disturbing the king.""
그러한 고통은 왕을 방해할 만한 일이 아니기 때문입니다."
7:5 King Xerxes asked Queen Esther, 크세르크스 왕이 왕비 에스더에게 물었다.
"Who is he? 그가 누구인가?
Where is the man who has dared to do such a thing?"
감히 그런 일을 행했던 사람이 어디에 있는가?
7:6 Esther said, "The adversary and enemy is this vile Haman."
에스더가 말했다. " 그 대적자와 적은 이 사악한 하만입니다.
Then Haman was terrified before the king and queen.
그러자 하만은 왕과 왕비 앞에서 두려워 떨었다.
7:7 The king got up in a rage, left his wine and went out into the palace garden.
왕이 분노로 일어나서 그의 포도주를 남겨두고 그리고 궁전 정원으로 나갔다.
But Haman, realizing that the king had already decided his fate,
그러나 왕이 이미 그의 운명을 정했다는 것을 깨닫고서 하만은
stayed behind to beg Queen Esther for his life.
그의 생명을 위해 왕비 에스더에게 간청하려고 뒤에 머물렀다.
7:8 Just as the king returned from the palace garden to the banquet hall,
왕이 궁궐 정원에서 연회장으로 돌아오자마자,
Haman was falling on the couch where Esther was reclining.
하만은 에스더가 기대어 있는 소파에 넘어져 있었다.
The king exclaimed, "Will he even molest(성적으로 희롱하다) the queen while she is with me in the house?"
왕은 "왕비가 나와 함께 집에 있는데도 그가 왕비를 희롱할 수 있을까?" 하고 소리쳤다.
As soon as the word left the king's mouth, they covered Haman's face.
왕의 입에서 그 말이 나오자마자 그들은 하만의 얼굴을 가렸다.
7:9 Then Harbona, one of the eunuchs attending the king, said,
그러자 왕을 모시는 환관 중 하르보나가 말하기를
"A gallows seventy-five feet high stands by Haman's house.
하만의 집 옆에는 높이 75피트의 교수대가 서 있습니다.
He had it made for Mordecai, who spoke up to help the king."
그는 왕을 돕기 위해 입을 열었던 모르드개를 위해 그것을 만들었습니다.
The king said, "Hang him on it!" 왕이 "그 위에 그를 매달아라."라고 말했다.
7:10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows he had prepared for Mordecai.
그래서 그들은 모르드개를 위해 준비했던 교수대 위에 하만을 매달았다.
Then the king's fury subsided(가라앉다). 그때 왕의 분노가 가라앉았다.
